Car Hire In Europe

We are off to Italy in August and need to hire a car. We usually always take our own but this year decided to fly so have to hire one. Do any of you guys know the best place to find a bargain?

I used www.priceline.co.uk when I went to Holland - it was about £11 per day. You need to read a bit about priceline before you dive in.
