I will be in the area this weekend while my son attends a merit badge university for Boy Scouts. I know about Reminisce and Memories on 5th, are there any other stores in the Coralville/Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area I should check out?? I have all day Saturday to play . . . .

TIA!
Brenda

This is a little late, I'm sure, but there is a Hobby Lobby, and Jo-Ann's, although we didn't have the best luck there. There is also a Benjamin Franklin that has some good stuff. That is in Sycamore Mall.

As far as Cedar Rapids, I know there is a store in Marion, but I don't know any others.

We checked out Reminisce and Memories on 5th -- we liked both stores. The area is scenic too -- but, . . . your roads are in really bad shape -- I thought ours were bad, but Dubuque Street is terrible!! But the Ronald McDonald carved in the trunk of the tree is really cool!!

The roads are horrible all over because of all the snow we've had this winter.

At least your street department employees have job security this spring -- so will auto repair employees. :-) (Our roads here are worse than they've been in a long time too!!)

Take care,
Brenda

Quite secure. I'm not sure if you made it up to Cedar Rapids, but there are parts of 380 where it isn't safe to pass people because of the huge pot holes. It's just horrible. READY FOR SPRING!!!!
