I've been lurking for a while now, reading posts. I think if I joined in the challenge it might push me to get started on my Mom's book that I am hoping to get done before Mother's day. I think I missed getting it done for her birthday since that is this Friday. :)

I'm also trying to motivate myself to get going on my 2005 Disney trip. I only have 3 pages done so far.

I am in! I went to a huge crop this past Saturday. I completed 32 pages. I actually started and finished DD's Hannah Montana album. We saw her in concert in Nov 07 and decided to do the album at the crop. Also completed more pages to our Oct 06 WDW trip. Lets see what all I can get done after I get all my DD's clothes tagged for the consignment sale coming up.

March is going to be a lucky month for me I think...I am IRISH after all. Went on a mini scrap weekend and though I didn't add any to my Feb totals. I scrapped all day on the 1st of March bringing in a total of 17 pages!!! I only have 4 pages left in my youngest DD's baby album YEAH! It will feel awesome to check one thing off my goal list very soon.:yay:

I've updated the list through post 33. At least some of you are doing pages. I spent about 5 hours yesterday trying to put some kind of order to my negatives & printed photos & getting stuff filed. We're talking two power sort boxes full, and that's not counting the digital pics that I've taken over the years that are still on my computer. I need help!

It was such a mess that I couldn't find things anything anymore. Hopefully I should be done with the rest of it today so I can know what's up when I start working on my albums. At least my desk keeps getting a bit more clean every day.

Okay, I've been busy so far this month. Put together an album for DD teacher who is leaving next friday. So been working very late nights to get it done and finished it today.

Made an 8 x 8 album with 36 pages (18 kids in the class, each kid got a 2 page spread) and a cover and ending page. I made journal cards for each kid and then scrapped it with their photo on the other page. It turned out really cute.

So even though I didn't do the journaling, did make all the cards, matted and embellished each page.

So do I count my 38 pages? what to be fair with my count since the kids did the writing.

Thanks you! He is more that worth it! he only teaches on Friday and the district is forcing him out since he didn't have the correct number of credits for teaching the hispanic kids at school, we all think its pretty S**ty since there's only 2 1/2 months of school left and he was planning on retiring in June.
We actually honored him today at assembly with the whole school! we did a big letter writing campaign to the board, but they wouldn't budge :mad: so we are losing a wonderful teacher and friend to our school and I wanted to make a special memory for him to take away from his last class of students. I am bringing it in Monday to show the kids and we will give it to him at his party Friday.

The totals have been updated and I hope I got it all correct. Please let me know if I made a boo-boo somewhere.

I finally finished sorting and filing all of my negatives and photos, some of which date back to when I used my mom's Kodak Brownie camera when I was in elementary school! I've even got some Disney shots in there. Not to see if I can find a photo lab to make some prints.

Keep up the good work! I'm hoping to get some pages done this weekend. I ordered the extra photos I needed for my WDW '05 trip, so as soon as they arrive I'll be able to get started on those pages.

I think you answered your question there - I don't have any kids to deal with, just roommates and they're pretty good about leaving my stuff alone. ;) Plus, if I bother to get all my stuff out I plan on working for several hours. In that time though I can get 20 pages done, and that's just because I have an easy time with the visual task of putting all of my elements together. I also only work when I'm feeling "creative" and it goes really quickly then. Don't worry about your speed, just focus on the fact that you're getting something accomplished. I HAVE to work that much, because I usually have 300-500 photos per trip, plus random stuff in between, and I'm still a few years behind at this point.

I've already beaten my February total - easy since I didn't do anything. Let's see if I can get more done this month than I did in January.

I wait til DS(8) is in bed, then maybe do one double-page layout before I need bed too :laughing: At a weekend I can maybe get 2 or 3 done, or when I have my scrap workshops I might get one or more done in 2 hours. I find the key is having photos ready sorted not just by occasion but by how you want the page to be - not cropped or anything in case I change my mind, but just loosely grouped.

Plus I sit in meetings thinking about pretty paper :blush:

DH is having friends over to play games tonight, and that meant that I had to clean off our dining room table. It took a while, too, since the table seats 12, if needed. At least now everything is back in it's place and I'll be able to find things again, rather than saying, "I know that it's somewhere in this mess..." :rotfl:

So, that means that I'll be forced to complete the journaling tonight, then I'll finally be able to get my pages posted. I'm about halfway through the Disney '05 albums (doing two simultaneously) and I need a break from designing pages, anyway.

I'm new to the working (hear paycheck) mom world, and am officially one yr behind. Easter 2007 was finished just last month. Spring break started yesterday, and I got 4 WDW pages done already!

I agree that accountablity helps get things done, so count me in. I'm ordering my pics from snapfish on an as needed basis (as to not get distracted). So I'm working on Epcot first (my fav). I"m needing a good picture of Eifel Tower if anyone has it. I have no idea :confused3 how to post pics here, or I would offer to share some myself.

They are not for my book but for a lady on th ecricut message board that only has 6 months to live due to cancer and has 2 boys the same age as my boys and she is worried she wont get caught up on her scrapbook pages. Yesterday I realized that if I completed one album/project a month the rest of this year that maybe I'll be halfway through what I need to do. So, I need to finish these Disney ablums this month. I went on a frenzy and worked on 19 duplicated (2 of each) pages yesterday afternoon (I had already pre-made some borders, so that helped!), and hopefully I'll complete some of them today.

Just for fun, so far -- if my math's correct -- we've completed 820 pages this month! Wow! :grouphug:

Even though my head was pounding and felt like it was about to explode, I managed to make a mini album for MIL the other day. I don't know how I managed to finish it, but I did. And MIL was so happy when I took DS over to her house yesterday so he could give it to her.

That's another 9 pages for me. Tiny as they were, they all had photos, embellishments AND journaling. :banana: (Sometimes I wimp out on the journaling when I do mini albums.)

I hurt my shoulder and finally went to the Dr's and have been resting it. Did finally realize today that if I put my chair really high, the pain isnt all that bad:lmao: but I figured I would clean and organized the mess and have found a few things I have forgotten about.

Wow! We sure completed a lot of pages this month! I just updated the list, but I'm sure that there will be some more people who need to add to their totals.

Since I seem to be the one insane enough to have completed the most pages again this month, I'll be setting up the new thread as soon as I'm done here. I assure you that I will NOT be doing that many pages next month!!! I promised DH that I'd get back to normal life, now that I finished those albums.
