We need only 2 nights in a hotel before we have to move to a different resort. I have a reservation at CSR, but I was thinking about cancelling it trying Priceline for a “resort” hotel since it is only 2 nights and I don’t need the benefits of being a Disney guest. I picked CSR because we stayed there before and we thought it was a nice resort. Has anyone used priceline for something like this? Does anyone know if the resort hotels are nice? I don’t want to be stuck staying in a dive. Any feedback is appreciated (both positive or negative). TIA

Based on your comments, you sound like you are new to priceline. Before bidding, visit sites like betterbidding.com in order that you can familiarize yourself with what you are likely to get. The only way you will end up with a dump is to activate the lower ratings if you stick to resort or 4 star you will have a nice place for two nights.

I always use www.biddingfortravel.com to figure out what resorts are coming up. The boards there are not as friendly as here, but there's great info. We got Omni Championsgate for our first night of Feb vacation. It was wonderful for us. I think I see the Gaylord Palms coming up a lot now. You just have to be prepared to accept whatever comes up in the category.

Also be aware that some like Gaylord Palms for example charge both a resort fee and for parking which cuts into your price. The Hilton by DTD comes up alot which would be a good one to get in my opinion
