okay so i decided to ask this question of my solo friends here. i was planning a vacation of a lifetime for 2009 as a special solo trip. well, i opened my mouth and decided to take my mom along. i don't want to run her around alot as walking alot is hard for her. her favorite park is epcot and she is usually the only person who i can go there with and stay all day everyday.
that being said, i decided to forego my many vacations next year and only take 1. one special trip that i have begun to save for.
my choices of things not done yet are:
staying concierege
sunrise safari at AKG
cirque du soleil
flying first class if i can swing it
what special things would you guys do? money is a factor so i can't say "skies the limit" but i am willing to put down more for a few special things.
TIA, Candice. :flower3:

Candice, I would forego first class since you are already on the East Coast. Just not enough fly time to spend the extra dough. . .use the money at the World. Never stayed concierge at WDW but that would be something I would do in a heartbeat. Will do it in August if I happen to get a code. . .lol. I love the idea of the Sunrise Safari. Maybe a tour you have always wanted to take and never did. Definitely Cirque. . .we have several Cirque shows here in Vegas and I never tire of seeing them. I wouldn't even hesitate.
Most of all as a vet, you know to just go and enjoy yourself. . .

sunrise safari at AKG is only possible if you stay in animal kingdom lodge
cirque du soleil is a must you may consider as well hoop dee doo - its sorta fun
if you have never done it try discovery cove ... its expensive but worth it

Well I wanted to try something different and special, so I decided to take the premium plan. It allows me to dine anywhere at WDW including a couple of DTD restaurants which are not normally included in their dining plans. I get a ticket to the Cirque du Soliel, all the tours I want to do, water craft rentals, golfing and golf lessons. I'm staying at AKL in the Savanah View, and I got a good deal with my AAA discount.
I wouldn't spend the cash on first class for a short flight, unless it is something like AirTran was offering last October, $40 to upgrade if seats are available. Then I would do it.

yeah...i was thinking of dumping first class tix as the extra money could be used elsewhere. my mom would love traveling by limo so may try that. i was thinking of the tours but may be too much walking for mom. i did the KTTK tour and loved it but it would be too much for her. i asked her about swimming with dolphins and she couldn't say no fast enough. right now i am focusing on dining at places we have always wanted to try.
thanks for the replies and keep the ideas coming! :surfweb:
