We are staying at OKW in Early August. Other than being able to walk to Downtown Disney, is there any other locations that are accessable by walking a short distance, or is the resort transportation the best way to go?
Are the studios at OKW located in a certain areaa, or just all over the resort?
If you were requesting a specific location, which one would you choose based on where the bus makes the first pickup in the resort area?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

DD is a walk of about 20 minutes. Nothing else is within walking distance, so you will need to use the buses or the boat to DD. The studios are in various locations throughout the resort, just like all the other categories. We prefer Turtle Pond, but have stayed everywhere at OKW and there really isn't a bad area or view. The first bus stop is Peninsular Road for most buses, Hospitality House for the internal shuttle. Even if you get on the first stop, you still have to hit all the other stops, so it really doesn't matter if you are at the first stop or the last one. OKW buses are rarely crowded, so you will almost always get a seat. Of the many, many trips we have stayed at OKW, the only time we ever stood on an OKW bus was when we left the MK on July 4th after the fireworks. Quite often, you may be the only party on the bus, or one of just a few people on the bus.

Remember that you can take a boat to DTD!

There are studios in every building.
