Has anyone stayed here? We've just picked this up on the Undercover Mystery Hotel on ABCHolidayExtras for £66 for our pre-flight stay in August. Very happy with this price:cool1:
We've stayed at the Park Inn and Crowne Plaza at Heathrow before, so just wondered what eateries were within staggering distance of the Skyline? I'm guessing the hotel restaurants will probably be overpriced!
All I've got to do now is sort out meet and greet parking. Purple Parking is coming in at £91 and VIP (who we used last year:thumbsup2 ) at £97. Anyone used Purple before??
I really wish there was Twilight Checkin at Heathrow, but as there's not we shall drive to the airport, get the car collected then get either a cab or Hoppa Bus back to the hotel.

Annie, we used Purple parking Oct 06 when we went to Disneyland CA. after we were transferred to them, the original carpark we booked with closed down.
Everything ok going but when we arrived back rang them from terminal to say we had arrived, waited and waited and waited, took almost an hour, bad enough for us but there were babies waiting in the freezing cold.
Eventually got to carpark, DW not in best of moods after 10 hour flight and stood for an hour. They asked us to stay on the minibus and go to office but driver said he did not know why, DW at this point having a mass panic they had damaged her 3 month old BMW. In the office we were told they had lost our keys, DW hit the roof, glad it was not me on the recieving end:)
They eventually brought us up to Yorkshire in a minibus, took the spare keys back down to Heathrow then brought our car home with another car following to take the driver back. Got car back about 1am next morning. Key turned up and they posted it back the following week.
Any company can have things go wrong but while we were in the office they had another lost key and 3 damaged cars.
We won't be using them again, I am sure they have many happy customers but I will look elswhere in future.

We've used purple parking's meet and great at Heathrow last year and had no problems they were there waiting for us when we arrive and the same when we got back. Also used them at Gatwick and are going to use them next month too.

The guy that brought our car back told me they have lots of problems with regular parking and advised me to use their meet and greet service, my only concern is they take it to the regular parking lot with the rest, its massive, I would estimate 2,000 cars crammed in there. Although it would have to be a special deal to get me to Heathrow again, its much easier for us to fly from Manchester 45 mins away and change planes somewhere. Took us 6 hours to Heathrow and missed the plane.

Thanks for that:thumbsup2
I must admit I'm looking more to stay with VIP who we used last March. I'm sure they probably park the car in a huge field somewhere along with all the other cars, but at least they got it from and back to us on time.
Wayne, I can relate to your poor DW with her car:eek: Years ago I parked my little sports car at one of the off-site Gatwick car parks at 4.00 in the morning before leaving on a ski holiday. When we got back, there was an announcement in the arrivals lounge asking me to go straight to the services desk for an urgent message. You can imagine what was going through my mind since it was long before mobile phones were widely used . . . . turns out the clutch had got stuck and they couldn't move the car. Still, a 'very nice man' helped me out and the car parking people were really helpful (BCP I think).

Hi Annie
We stayed in the Sheraton Skyline a couple of years ago.
Have a look here: http://www.kevinstringer.co.uk/august%202005%20trip/day1.htm
We found it to be quite nice. The bar around the indoor pool is fun.
