OK, I officially feel like a traitor. We love FW. We have FW booked for the end of April. But... DH just got invited to a conference happening at CSR at the end of Mar. I can go along, for only the cost of my food (he's driving down, so I don't even have to pay for transport). The room, his food, and the car are all covered. We get a week in WDW and it won't cost him any vacation time. We have AP's, so no tix expense. In other words, this trip is as close to free as it's ever going to get.

However, if we go for the conference we won't go at the end of April (we were just there in Jan. and no way are we making that drive three times in four months) and will use that vacation time for some other camping, TBD. If I don't go to the conference, we still go at the end of April.

I feel like such a traitor, going to WDW and staying in a hotel. Haven't done that in a long time, not since we got the MoHo. I feel like I've sold myself to the lowest bidder! I know we'll have a great time at CSR and on whatever other trip we do the end of April, but giving up FW is hard, even if the alternative is an (almost) free trip.

Pros: (almost) free trip, no extra vacation time required for WDW so we can have another vacation this year, just were at FW and are definitely in for next Jan. so it's not like I'll never go back, I've never stayed at CSR so I can mark another resort off my list.

Cons: No FW. Wahhhhhhhh. :sad1:

The choice should be obvious, but it isn't. Sigh.

Don't feel guilty!!!!! Go, enjoy yourself! Check off that resort and come to TE for breakfast one day! You know you'll be back, you are NOT a traitor! CSR is great! The Casitas are beautiful!

Take the free trip. But why not go back in April. We drive 2000 miles round trip we did not even make it home this last time and we where ready to go back. If we had more vacation we would make the drive that close together.

We stay in the other resorts a lot! But, we always spend an afternoon over at the Fort at the TE, shopping in the trading posts, walking through the petting farm, and sitting on the front porch of Crockett's Tavern though. :lovestruc

Have a great time!!

We thought about it, but we were there last May, then Oct., then Jan, and now March/April. I think we're burned out on I-95 for awhile. That drive gets to be a pill with all the construction and bad roads and boringness of it. Plus, with gas the way it is, I guess I figure if we're going to fill up the MoHo, we might as well go somewhere new rather than expending the gas to get somewhere we've been to so many times (and are going back to). If that makes sense...

It makes sense. I would take the free trip.

Okay, maybe I'm missing something here:confused3 . He says that you can go in April if you don't go now. However, HE still has to go to the conference regardless, right? Well, why is okay for him to drive down another time if you don't go to the conference, but not if you go with him in March. The logic seems flawed to me. If you are just tired of Disney, that is another story; but, i wouldn't let an extra road trip keep me away if it was something I really wanted to do.

I say take the free trip. And if you don't feel like turning around and driving back down in April, can you change to an early fall trip instead. That would give you a couple of months recovery time.
