Adding a ticker

I'm not very technical - but could anyone easily explain how I add a ticker. i've looked for a 'ticker' option in my profile but can't seem to find anything.

To get a ticker, click on mine. That'll take you to www.tickerfactory.com and you follow the instructions to create the one you're happy with.

When you're finished, copy the the line of bbCode box underneath your ticker and then come back to the DIS and click on User CP link that's near the top of the page on the left.

This will take you to your Control Panel, so click on the first link on the left that says 'Edit Signature'. That will open up a box (like a Reply to Thread box) into which you paste your copied bbCode.

Click on Preview Signature to see it and, if you're happy, click on Save Signature... I hope that helps... :goodvibes

make sure you are copying from the bbcode box, (the top box)copy and paste that into your signature :thumbsup2

Tracy, your link doesn't look complete to me. It should finish with [/img] [/url]...

the dates we are going are 4 nights san francisco oct 20-24,then 10 nights orlando oct 24th-nov 3rd.
the ticker,is the one in debbies post.i have just checked again & [/img][/url] are definately,at the end.

Ok, Tracy, there are two ways you can do this, but first I suggest you remove everything currently in your signature so that we're starting with a clean slate.

First option:
Go back to Ticker Factory and re-create your ticker. Copy the code in the bb box by highlighting it and then right-clicking and selecting "copy". Make sure you highlight the entire code because some of it may be hidden - you need to scroll down. Go back to the Edit Signature option in user CP and paste the code by right-clicking and selecting "paste'.

Second option:
Click on the "quote" button at the bottom of my post in which your ticker appears. You will then see the entire code. Copy and paste it as described above.
