Well, my contractor called this morning and asked if he could come over and talk to me..

The radiant flooring heat is now backordered 6-8 weeks... UGH!!!!!! So he asked if we wanted to wait and the plumber would have to wait and the project would basically come to a stand still or did we want the baseboard heat and he would give us hardwood floor in our family room as a "compromise" for free and for not getting the heat we want...He said he would give us the best hardwood to make us happy..

Heck, I wanted to get a new rugh in there. But hardwood is AWESOME!!! SO now another room that will be a mess but we are going to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would love radiant floor heating and ceramic tiles but thems are the breaks. Can't argue with hardwood flooring though.

We ended up with light oak in our livingroom but maple was a close second. If I had to do it over again I would go with bamboo. Kristin that's a hint for your contractor

I can run down stairs and look it is in my dining room piled up right now!!!!LOL!!!!!!!!!! The mess this house is in!!!!!!!!!!
I believe it is a light oak.. Very nice he told us it has a 50 year guarantee...

She was so dear to me... we were closer by far than my own mom and I. Sweet sweet lady for sure... it feels cozy having her antique sewing machine/table in my bedroom, you know?

That is sweet how close you were to your MIL. I love pieces of furniture that hold meaning like the sewing table. I have my grandmother's antique table and matching hutch. I have the small hutch in my dining room and the small table in my hallway upstairs. Both the pieces came from her family in England. I love them both.. Then I have nesting tables from my aunt's parents in my hallway foyer...
My mother has the trunk that my grandmother travelled with on the boat on the way over from England. She is still using it in her house now. But I wan it someday!!!!!!!!!

Sigh.. so far the only grandkids who actually play and enjoy the piano, are MINE! LOL.. not that I have any designs on it myself at ALL, its just funny in a sick kind of way how my mom ended up reacting to my sisters plan for the piano. Sigh...

Yes, that trunk is a gem. My mom uses it a table in her family room has stuff on top of it for decoration. The handle on the side is broken the leather is torn from my great grandfather carrying it for so long. The stamps inside of it are from when they arrived in Ellis Island, NY!! IT is neat. I wish that trunk could talk...

I think he said this weekend he would have a good idea of how much the shirts will cost him. I told him black thread for the writing, the red and blue logo on white shirts. It's a start and then we can change things as we want. I suggested the Walt Disney Script as the font, but then I found Disney Print. It might look nicer and be more readable. I'll let you know when I know!

I just got word from a friend in the truck club that he and his soon-to-be wife are starting an embroidering business! They are going to be making shirts for our upcomng truck club get together. I asked if they are taking orders for other groups and he said YES! He said to send him a logo and the wording and he'll work up a price. they can do this on Tshirts or Polos. Hello everyone!
Today has been an okay day. I started to get reallllly tired at about 230, but then the kids came home on the bus, the baby needed another bottle and then thier Mom was home. It's been raining since about 1. At least it's not snow!

Connor has called me about a dozen times today! It's really cute. Hi Mom. We are on the way. Hi Mom, we're here! Hi Mom, we just watched the IMAX. and on and on. I told Steve it's a good thing I didn't pay $80 to go with. He's been sending me a play by play anyway! I don't feel like I've missed a thing!

I fixed bacon for BLTs for dinner, but there is just SOMETHING about having a pan of bacon grease that makes me crave fried eggs and toast. I guess it's like a comfort food. My dad used to work swing shift, so for 8 weeks, we almost always had breakfast for dinner.

Kristin, I totally forgot to get the chicken and dumplings for you when I was at Kroger. I promise, I'll send you some!

I've been painting the first coat of paint on my bedroom walls..Since the furniture got picked up today and the carpet is getting wripped out first thing on Monday. I repainted the ceiling today while the kids were at school and tonight did the first coat and tomorrow morning will do the second coat and then Monday we will move our mattress and RUBBERMAID...LOL!!!!!! Out then we will "move" back in Monday night!!!!!!!!
