I was just about to post that too. At least I read the other posts first.
And how would reading Japanese comics make you emo? Emo=depressed and thinks everyone in the world hates them. A lot of anime and manga is creepily happy.

I don't think that they MAKE you emo, but that they are WRITTEN for emo people

they are written for Japanese citizens, just like comic books in the states are written for US citizens. Their popularity just brings it way beyond its target audience.

But there is a story behind the big cute anime eyes...
All the guys apparently ADORE Lily, but never Pink.... So... I decided one day to dress up like Lily in the hopes of getting some attention for myself, but I got the eyes wrong. Lily noticed and left a picture of herself hanging in my room so that I could get her "big cute anime eyes" right the next time.
