I saw an ad for locking pin backs. Anyone ever use these? Would you recommend them? I saw a couple of posts that says that pins are easy to loose and since some of them aren't cheap I don't want to risk it (much less have a crying child because they lost their favorite one). I just didn't know if they were worth the money and really worked. If you bought them at Disney do you remember how much they were or can you recommend a good place to get them online? Thank you!

The pin backs do fall off very easily.
Working merch at WDW I had to wear a lanyard with 12 pins and was ALWAYS losing them.
I've heard from some guests that the locks were great.
I'm not sure on price or where to get them online though. Sorry.
Try Ebay maybe?
We just got into the pin thing and the very first day we lost a back-only noticed it because we heard the pin drop off. Luckily, while standing in line a few days later, we found one on the ground. My friend gets the locking kind and carries a very small "alan wrench" type tool with him to get them on and off his lanyard. I haven't checked but maybe Disneyshopping.com would have them. They were having a "goofy sale" that took 29% off all merchandise (that may have ended yesterday or today). Worth a shot anyway! GL

They are great! It was a little tricky figuring it out because the tightener is so small, but once you do, it is easy to use. We haven't lost a single pin.
