Hey anyway we can all do brunch/meet at Palo's? I heard they have a private room?

The private room in Palo holds 14 people. On our last cruise we had two different groups meet on two different days as we had 28 people sign for the brunch.

I have to get a complete financial statement done for work, a check run, and about 4 tax returns.

I'll check back with y'all later.

Luckily we have 7 sea days not counting the day we sail through the Canal in August. Guess I should look to experience a few more things on the ship.

We only ate in Lumiere's once for lunch and that was on our first cruise. I really enjoyed it, but Suz doesn't want to waste time inside for lunch when she can eat out in the sun. Anyone want to join me on one of the sea days on BOB for lunch in Lumiere's? Maybe we could do a DIS meet on that Thursday for lunch if we don't have anything else planned for that day. :thumbsup2

If you stick with us Jeff, you will be hiding from us towards the end of the cruise, just so that you don't do anything.:lmao: :rotfl:

We were just talking about CC last night and want to rent jet skis/wave runners next time. We said we could put DS in the club or leave him with you and Neil. Suz said you two would probably come with. So I guess they'll go to the club, unless the People Mover babysitters will be available on CC. :rotfl2:

We've done this and it's and exhilarating trip.

Yes they do. We tried to get it the night we went to Palo for dinner.

They said no because another party was in there. They got done early, so we could have done it.

Chris unfortunately had to sit near that room that night. They were loud (not that we wouldn't have been louder :rolleyes1 ). Probably should have gotten Mr. Concierge to book the room for us.

I'm not sure how many it holds. Maybe 12-16. Anyone know?

I already posted, the room holds 14 max. One thing though, that room gets mighty warm in the daytime. When we were in there they had at least two fans running to circulate the air.

Here is the only one I thought was good enough to steal off of Kristin's camera. Stacy's mom should have more pictures which I'll get later.

This is a picture of one of the games we played called: "Here comes the bride". Groups of 6 guests pick a card that has a dress part listed on it. Using tissue paper, they make that part of the dress.

Here are the grand results!!

Crap Karen, it looks like you didn't do a lot. What did you do?

We got to the movie theater, and I believe I got lunch from Topsiders (I thought that was the sea day after Cozumel - didn't Neil and I eat from there while you and Suz had deserts from Quiet Cove Cafe'? :rolleyes1 ).

Did the spa on the first cruise, will probably do the gym on the next one, but I just walk or run, so I might do that on Deck 4 (saw Walt/Di on that deck a couple of times :thumbsup2 ). Would like to do one of the demos. Sunbed on Deck 10? Sorry, I'll take one on Deck 9. Too bloody hot up on 10 and you're closer to the pool on 9. :thumbsup2 Although they'll be easier to get.

Not into martini's but Suz is. I'll skip that one.

:thumbsup2

We had lunch with Sean and Cath one day in Lumiere's. It was the first time we had done that. We really enjoyed the quiet time and just talking with friends.

Nancy - where did you get all the cool outfits for Plankton. Karen's Planky will need to be suitably decked out for Panama.

Let's see....some came from Build a Bear and some I made, but all went to Brenda after the cruise. All except the formal wear. That one went to Janice's little girl at the last WI DISmeet.

Good thing I bought a new card reader for my digital camera as my old one ate up all my shower pics!! Un-freakin-believable...I actually watched all the pictures delete themselves, one-by-one!!

Here are the grand results!!

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a342/cntkg1/P3020019-1.jpg

(Check out the Madonna bra!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

Pictured in the background are: Spencer's mom, Donna, the blond sitting down, Jesse's mom, the blond standing up behind Stacy, the best SIL anyone could ever ask for, Linda, taller of the two ladies looking at each other, and my friend Barb talking to Linda.

Love the dress!!! We did a game like this at my shower excp. we used toilet paper. It was a hoot!

You were way on the other side of the beach there.

It always amazes me how many people turn into the beach area as soon as you have a chance. If you go down past the bar and the showers, there are tons of chairs, umbrellas and hammocks down that way that no one gets to right away. We don't even turn in until we get that far and there is still a lot of beach to go.

It was reported the entire 100' x 250' section of the outer layer of roof and insulation was ripped off by the winds. The cement supports are in good shape, but a great deal of rain water did leak into the auditorium. I picked Angelina up from musical practice a little after 12pm and this happened around 5pm. It was reported that no one was in the school when this happened, which was a very good thing!!!

Glad no one was in the school at the time and no one was hurt!!!

Turned out to be a very expensive trip - someone bashed into my car whilst we were in the craft shop and didn'tt leave their details. I'm now looking at $400 excess on my insurance to get the work done and at least 1 day of work to drop off and collect the car.

I am so annoyed. Up goes my premiums as well. I'm starting to get sick and tired of living in this country! Too many immigrants with no insurance, living here.

Sorry, rant over!

Who among us has NOT taken a traffic sign of some sort???

My friend and I "received" some traffic signs when we were in college and were living off campus. One night her car was towed and we thought it was stolen. We called the cops and it wasn't until AFTER we buzzed them up to our apartment that we realized we had all those signs. We yanked them off the walls and hid them under a bed. Funny thing was, was that you could see the outline of the signs on the faded walls. One was a stop sign....a tad bit obvious! :rotfl2:

Yup, we actually scored two of them yesterday at Best Buy on Bluemound. I walked in at opening time and an employee greeted us at the door and asked if they could help us find something. Kiddingly, I said....yeah, you got any Wii's? She said no and took me over to the card readers. Then she started talking into her mike and I could tell they had some. I almost wet myself!!!

She offered to sell us one but then I sent Chuck back in to buy another for Tony and Stacy's wedding gift! We Wii'd until after midnight. :rotfl2:

Another customer was so excited that he ran out the door with the Wii up over his head laughing and running towards his car. It was hilarious!!:lmao:

I am so glad that WDW has the original show. I just love Big Al. A few years ago we were waiting for the parade in frontier land and Sean runs over and grabs my hand and said Come on. I was what about the girls (Sarah and a friend of my little girl), "they'll be ok we are not going far". There was Big Al dancing, and he grabbed my arm, and it was just me an him. Got the Income Statement template to work correctly - took several hours to tweak. Switching to the new accounting package, this is the first time I had to run the Income Statement for the whole corporation (15 divisions). Well, the old system had canned reports, but in the new one, I had to get it set up to print what I needed.

Now I just need to get all the month end entries in.

Trip insurance question.

I purchased our trip insurance for the Repo yesterday and am wondering if I insured myself for enough.

The total cruise is $5,199, air to LA is on FF miles, so I could switch those no cost, flight back from MCO is about $110 each. I figure the cruise breaks down to about $2,093 for Suz and I and $1,013 for DS.

I insured for $3,000 each.

I figured it would be at most right now for Suz and I $2,203. That leaves almost $800 for unreimbursable hotels (if any) and any excursions (I'm assuming we'll get charged regardless if we make the ship).

Am I missing anything or do you think we're o.k.?

We went to the car show last night to look at new cars. We have now decided on a smaller, more full economical car. I want the new Mazda Speed 3.
263-hp 2.3L DOHC 16 valve inline 4 cylinder
Heated leather seats and dual climate control.
Bose premium sound system with 6 disc cd changer
Navigation system
http://images.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/images/photographs/2008_configurator/pho_bui_ms3sgt_ext_blue_summary.gif

Shelley,

I like the Mazda 3 too. For a small car, it is sporty.

263 horses out of a 4-cylinder. A lot of V-6's don't even get close to that.

MPG isn't that great on it (18/26), but who cares, it's fast and fun. :thumbsup2

I figured I had to cover one leg of the flights and any hotel charges (those would only be if we go to a DL hotel).

Who are you insuring with?

I went with Travelex. Have for the last several cruises. If you go with them, the cost is the same from $2,001 to $2,500, so you might want to bump yours up a bit. Play with the numbers and see what the premium changes to. I go for the maximum I can get over my minimum requirement (i.e. if I only needed $2,600, I go to $3,000 because it is the same). This way I have extra coverage in case I need it.

I think that should be enough coverage Jeff. I always add in a little extra $$ too, just to be safe.

I'm never sure how they look at it if I would have to make a claim. Do they take the total and divide by 3? If so, then I'm way over covered. The trip will not cost me $9,000 (unless you put in Suz shopping :sad2: ).

I always play it safe and try to figure what the cost of Suz and I are and then DS is free to that limit. Rather be safe than sorry.

I always go with Travelite. I never looked into what the other all covers, but it looks like the Lite version covers fine.

Once you get to the other one, you might as well shop around. It gets pricey.

Jeff,
I'm on travelex do you think the travellite plan is adequate?

Just brought it up, and the major differences from what I can tell are:

Higher trip cost coverage (50k vs 30k, but it doesn't effect us).

Trip interruption is higher based on higher cost of trip allowed.

A $250 larger aggregate for trip delay ($1,000 vs $750 - basically 5 days instead of 4).

$500k vs $50k for medical (my med insurance will kick in on this one).

Pre-existing limits are higher ($50k vs $30k, but you'd have to get it within 21 days of the deposit which was last year).

More baggage coverage ($2,500/$600 vs. $1,000/$250)

Rental car damage included on higher cost plan, optional on Lite.

No I haven't. But we are always in a private little booth. I can't see anything or anyone around me!!

Kids have been there before. We actually took Kelsey and Kyle about 6 years ago. Of course you don't get the private booth that time. But I am not sure how Ellis would do. I believe the meats and pastas might be cooked in peanut oil. That is something you would have to check into.

Our Big Al is on our bed, we got him in 1983. I remember seeing him for the first time, I nearly died laughing when he started singing. My brother Pete was with us and was mad we went in to see the show. When I started laughing at Big Al, Pete totally lost it and was on the floor with me in laughter. A very precious moment. Pete was 11 at the time.

Thanks for the warning via a PM Nancy...........No after 9:00 comments Jeff..........

Evening kids. Just thought I pop on in for a second.

Yes Carrie, Robin is holding Big Al he is part of the Country Bear Jamboree.

This is for anyone--Do they still have the CBJ in the Magic Kingdom? It's been so long since we were in that part of the park.

OK kiddos, it's time for me to get some shuteye, I know it's after midnight, but my body is telling me it's only after 11pm, darn time change anyhow........

Becky, I loved the one with you in that gorgeous dress!!! And the one where you are both holding onto Sean, it almost looks like he's about to fall over and you guys are holding onto him for dear life! :lmao:

Karen, in all your pics you can tell you've got super soft gorgeous skin! It looks terrific with a little touch of sun :sunny:

Nancy, looks like that shower was fun! :hyper: Love the pic where you are all taking a pic...what was everyone taking of pic of though? The ship??

Mike & Robin, loved the video! She's persistant alright ::yes:: Love the baby shirt you were wearing, that was so cute! :upsidedow Mike mike mike...I'm glad you don't dress that way anymore hun...chicks don't dig knee-highs :smooth: :lmao:

Lori and Scott, Happy Anniversary to you guys :flower: How many years???

Woody, good luck tomorrow buddy! Go get'em tiger! :car:

Karen, if you decide to do the jetskis, fair warning that it ain't that much fun in the back. Rob and I did this in Jamaica and he had a blast but it really sucked for me in the back. It was bumpy, I got splashed a lot and it was hard to hold onto him even though his life jacket thing had handles on it near the back sides for me to hold. My bum hurt for hours! We are doing the jetskis on CC too but I want one of my own!!! :o

It was funny, we got off our jetski and he was grinning from ear to ear then he looked at me and I was a big old grump for an hour afterwards. I was like "Apparently you weren't on the same ride as me buddy!!"

Good morning folks

What a night!

We had fairly bad weather forecast overnight last night - boy - they got that worng! -FAIRLY BAD???? - HOW BAD WIZARD OF OZ BAD????

We had things blowing everywhere and the noise was horrendous. Barely slept. Neil gave up at 5am and went to work. He had to drive to Wales and the forecast there was real bad so I was panicking til he called to tell me he'd got there fine and it was lovely and sunny there:eek:

I just found one of my big ceramic pots thats outside or front door (full of soil and plants) has rolled down the close and luckily got jammed by a cars wheel. Cant beleive it fell over and not smashed.

Wierd weather - and to think I was mowing the lawn and weeding yesterday afternoon:confused3

You were way on the other side of the beach there.

It always amazes me how many people turn into the beach area as soon as you have a chance. If you go down past the bar and the showers, there are tons of chairs, umbrellas and hammocks down that way that no one gets to right away. We don't even turn in until we get that far and there is still a lot of beach to go.

looks a good spot:thumbsup2

Hey you forgot me Scott and Heather.
Sorry - you were on the list but I forgot to type your names:flower3:

We had baked ham with pineapples, baked potatoes and creamed corn, and I am full!!! :thumbsup2

Sounds yummy!

Your responses will get you there for sure (unless you multi-quote like some Aussie Brit :rolleyes1 ).

So sue me...I'm lazy:lmao:

We went to the car show last night to look at new cars. We have now decided on a smaller, more full economical car. I want the new Mazda Speed 3.
263-hp 2.3L DOHC 16 valve inline 4 cylinder
Heated leather seats and dual climate control.
Bose premium sound system with 6 disc cd changer

He starts his new job tomorrow! He is actually excited!
Good luck today Woody:woohoo:

I have an idea Karen, we can have an adult meet there in Dec. and have Rachel look after Ellis while we go. We have a Melting Pot in our area but we've never been but I've been curious about it too.

Sounds great - the menu looks fab...I'll be in heaven with gooey cheese:cloud9:, followed by gooey chocolate:cloud9:
