OK girls, do any of you know who Rick Springfield is? Well when I was a teenager his posters covered my room,totally gaga over him and so wanted to be his Jessies Girl.:lmao:
Anyhoo, my best friend went and saw him in Las Vegas on Friday. She just called me and while standing in the Starbuck's line at the airport, and all of a sudden she goes OMG there he is. Yes right there in the line, and the wench got to talk to him....I so hate her.:lmao:

We saw him a few years ago at our local summer concert series. Hasn't changed much! :rotfl:

Arrived home a little bit ago. We wound up going to Nifty Fiftys for a change. This place just opened up within the past few months and we just heard about it in our local newspaper this past Wednesday, since it was Hazel's birthday, she said, "Let's give it a try." It was nice, the food, atmosphere and service was all quite good. We might even go back for my birthday next month. I have attached 3 pics below. Hazel received a special sundae for her birthday and Angelina asked if she could have a hat to decorate for herself. That's the inner kid coming out in her..........:laughing:

As usual, I was the picture taker, not the picture takee.........so no pics of me...........:lmao:

Very nice. Spent the day yesterday and today with my cousin and his family. Their son is 21 months and he is the love of my life! :lovestruc We watched the Wiggles and went to the park. It was 65* all weekend! So beautiful. Woody and I went to the Carolina Hurricanes hockey game last night and watched them beat up on the Tampa Bay Lightening 5 to 1. Always a good night when your team wins! The drive home was quiet.

We're back from the hospital..

It was all a bit wierd actually...

They did warn us that the tests are NOT considered accurate but gave an "indication" to which he was allergic to...

Brazil nut came back negative:banana:
Almond came back negative:banana: :banana:
Hazelnut came back negative:banana: :banana: :banana: .........

Peanut - came back grade 1:confused3 - this is what I dont understand:confused3 ... when he was tested last time (age 3 1/2) he was off the scale and graded as high as you can get... the grades are 1 to 4 - he was considered 4+...now he's a 1:confused3 ... they all told me that he wouldnt grow out of it due to its severity at the other clinic.... I dont see how he could have dropped to such a low grading from as high as it gets to a "minor" allergy in just 3 1/2 years:confused3

I would love to believe the tests but I'm really concerned that they've got it wrong.:rolleyes:

Oh, and they didnt test him for cashews:rolleyes: :sad2: - no chinese for me tonight then:sad2:

I remember Rick Springfield! Went to his concert when I was twelve. My mom took me and three other girls and just dropped us off in front of the Civic Center. I wouldn't drop my DD and friends off in front of a Civic Center now!
Anyway, as you remember Rick Springfield also play Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital at that time (I didn't get ABC only NBC back then). At the concert there were several ladies of a certain age with I :love: General Hospital t-shirts!

As far as I know they only have a few stores in the Philadelphia area right now. I also found out some interesting news about Nifty Fiftys. My brother Rob called me this afternoon and told me that his wife's brother is one of the primary owners of Nifty Fiftys. I wish I had known that before we went, maybe we could have gotten a discount............:lmao:

I had 4 classes of it on my side, yet the other office who have 3 full time people, pulled my librarian to help them with the parents at their desk. Meanwhile I have 6 kids, answering the phone, and have teachers asking me questions, all at the same time,and I am by myself. :mad: Neither one of us were happy.

So to top the day off, and this is where I need the KK'ers help. Sean's uncle found Sean's grandmother face down with a thready pulse last night. They took her to the hospital, and her kidneys had failed. So now she is on dialysis. She is in her early 80's and has diabetes, so I have a feeling she wasn't taking her meds the way she should. They are trying to get her stablized right now so they can move her to another facility.
So...if you could say an extra prayer and and a little more pixie dust, I know Sean would appreciate it.

Only "DING" we get with Midwest or AirTran is the extra charge to rebook your ticket. Would be nice if all airlines gave you credit towards future flights if the price goes down.

My poor Charlie Tuna got slapped with the flu yesterday. :sick: I never saw him so sick. I've locked him in the spare bedroom, made sure he has plenty of liquids and a clear shot to the bathroom. :guilty: He's taking his first sick day in 14 years! I, on the other hand, make sure that I take all 6 sick days I get every year whether I'm sick or not! (You lose 'em if you don't use 'em.) Whatever. We're below normal, again. It's going to hit 40 maybe early next week, but that too will be below normal.

Our normal right now is suppose to be in the high 30's and next week the low 40's.

Effective today, for NEW sailings cruising 7/1/08 and beyond that include a Mexican port of call, the government taxes and Fees are increasing $5.00 per Mexican port.
The sailings affected are: 15-Night Eastbound Panama Canal, 7-Night Mexican Riviera, 7-Night Western Caribbean, 7-Night Western Caribbean with 2 calls at Castaway Cay and Costa Maya.
For any reservations that are not paid-in-full, the Government Taxes and Fees will be changed over the next few weeks.
Not sure, but "IF" you pay off your bookings by March 4/08
by 8PM EST you would not be charged the increase......

try, DCL and Disney can change anything at anytime???*****

Is that $5 per port ($15 for each person in our case)? That would be $45. Almost 1/2 of the $100 they wanted to charge for the Canal fee.

When does it go into effect? May put the repo on the card quickly before the new charge occurs.

I've used both and both work well. If you are a member of Budgets club (free) you can walk right to your car.

I just did a quick check on Alamo's site and for 5 days, the cars are coming up over $300. :scared1:
