That would be so fun!

To be honest, I'd love to do the whole long gown, gloves, tiara look for formal night, but I'd be too chicken to go it alone...princess:

Fine! I'll be sure that my jeans are clean if we're going to "glam it up". ;)

I always "glam" it up on formal night (semi-formal, too). I don't usually do the gloves but the last two cruises I wore a long gown and went to the spa and had my hair styled. I even asked Jason to wear a tux. It was fun and we got some great pictures.

I'm sure I could get Chuck to wear some nicer black sweat pants, a clean wife beater, and new Chuck Taylors. If I really sweet talk him, he might even tie the laces. :lmao:

Nancy, did you ever find that military term you were looking for?? Curiosity killed the cass :cat:

Nope...still waiting for Paige's Rob to find out for me. :confused3

So I went out to dinner last night at Chili's and I sat down and ordered an iced tea....the waiter proceeded to tell me that since it's a U.S. chain that they only have brewed tea, not "real" iced tea

Umm hello, you are an American chain in CANADA!!!!!!! You should have my iced tea! :headache: I can't even find my iced tea in Canada in Epcot, why should I get that brewed stuff up here  :lmao:

And if someone tried to serve me the Canadian Iced Tea, I'd send it back. Only fresh brewed for this chick (goose). :rotfl:

I'm just waiting for my dogs to pee in my shoes or something :rolleyes1

Cabo hasn't tried that one yet. He just steals them and hides them. I just found one of my gloves in his kennel in the garage. Gotta just love that guy.

Hey everyone on thread #3!
I can't believe I lurked earlier today and checked tonight and already 8 pages and my sister has several posts. I will have to try to keep up better this thread.

Only two new things with me. I quit caffeine cold turkey on Sat. (slept most of the day). I think I am still having withdrawal symptoms. I read that it can take 9 days for a real addict. I am in the muscle soreness stage now.

This may be TMI but I have drunk Mt. Dew for breakfast for the last twenty years - started in college! I have also had Dr. Pepper at sometime during the day for probably thirty years! I hope I can keep going with this. Supposed to help with weight loss and health and I'm tired of keeping the stuff around.

The bad thing is my BIL learned that he has liver cancer today. We are hoping it is early enough, but we know liver is bad.

Tanya, so sorry to hear about your BIL's news.

Now I'd wear a tiara with y'all, but my halo would get in the way. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angelic004.gif

Or would it be my horns. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/devil10.gif

Jeff, if you're going to wear a crown then you should look for a scepter, too! ;)

Maybe you chicks could have a "bedazzling" meet the afternoon of formal night. :lmao:

I'm loving the tiara idea! princess: princess: princess: But I'm a little weird, anyway!

It's not Arrabis brothers, but those of us not going to WDW before the cruise can shop for our tiaras here:

http://www.tiaratown.com/

And Nancy, I think a tiara goes with anything!

Thanks for the link, Jen! My MIL actually has one from a wedding she was in decades ago and offered to let me borrow it for the cruise, but I'd be terrified that something would happen to it. I'm just going to pick one up before the cruise - they had some cool ones at Arrabis Bros. in Epcot that were only about $45.

That would be so fun!

To be honest, I'd love to do the whole long gown, gloves, tiara look for formal night, but I'd be too chicken to go it alone...princess:

Jen if I ever become a better Bobaloser I have a long gown that I could wear, I wore it on our second cruise and I haven't taken it on a cruise since. I'm not sure about the gloves though, but maybe I'd join you other ladies in wearing a tiara.

Hope you warm up a bit before going back out. It isn't too bad here today. I haven't watched the weather in a while, so I have no idea what it is suppose to be or if anything is coming.

Jeff I just watched the weather and they are saying 2-3 inches starting later tonight and then getting very windy again so it will be blowing probably making things slippery for the morning commute  Looks like I'll have another slow drive home in the morning

First, thanks to all of you who continue to ask about my dad and Spencer.

My dad is coming home on Saturday! :yay: The nursing home decided that there is nothing further they can do for him and that he has improved enough to come home!!   (And the fact that Medicare won't pay for him to be there anymore). :goodvibes Chuck and Tony are going to set everything up for him tonight. Hospital bed, additional railings for the basement stairs, & walker ramp outside. He is so excited to finally come home. He never thought he'd ever see his house again. Now we just have to get him to move from that lousy neighborhood they live in.

Spencer is also going home on March 11th. :yay: He still has a few problems from the brain injuries but again, Medicade is done paying his way too. He will be on permanent disability too. He has come such a long way and looks so much better. He lost 65 pounds after the accident and put 70 back on since Christmas!! He never wants to ride motorcycle again. The outline of his body is still on the street where the accident happened. They must have used paint instead of chalk. He also said he will NEVER drive past that spot...ever!! He will live with his mom at an apartment (she moved out of her house because of the recent attack/burglary) until July and will move with her to Arizona then.

Thanks again for all your pm's everyone, the thoughts, prayers, and dust stuff and for all of you who contributed to the making of his cd's. He absolutely loved them all. :lovestruc

If anyone has seen a brit show called 'One Foot in The Grave' then the character Victor Meldrew is Rick to a tee. His tag line is 'I don't believe it', for when things go wrong, which is nearly every day!

For instance - last night there was an almighty BANG at 4am - it turns out our central heating has a serious problem and I have to stay at home tomorrow waiting for an engineer. To top it off I got a nail in one of my tyres!

Awwwwww crap! And here I thought I was being all original and daring.

Now, I read that a couple of months ago on the "dark side" as well.

But for some reason I thought it was the WB Repo that was doing it. Maybe they both are.

There is a theme night called "Ballroom Under the Stars" on the WB cruise. They have not release our nights yet. I'm wondering since Disney owns ABC, who airs Dancing with the Stars, if something might be up with that.

Didn't quite work out :rolleyes1

I know that DISer. Well, I cruised with her and she is on the EB Repo. Never talked to her. Actually, didn't participate on the DIS of the cruise I had with her and am not on the thread for the upcoming one.

Maybe she is the one arranging it on the EB Repo.

Umm hello, you are an American chain in CANADA!!!!!!! You should have my iced tea! :headache: I can't even find my iced tea in Canada in Epcot, why should I get that brewed stuff up here  :lmao:

Then I woke up this morning to 6 inches of snow

I'm just waiting for my dogs to pee in my shoes or something :rolleyes1

Cath,
Thanks for the wishes. We're hoping for an agressive treatment plan that does the job. They think it was caught early enough. They were just checking his gallbladder for some pain he was having when the spots were found.

No, I'm 1 of 2 disney fanatics on campus, but the only one that is willing to cruise, the other is afraid when she is on the ship that a sunami will hit.:lmao:

Did you know that there are no lost children in the Magic Kingdom? There are only lost parents. The reason for this distintion is because when a child becomes seperated from their parents, they are often afraid that their parents will be upset at them. When you tell them that it is not they who are lost, rather their parents, it shifts the "blame" to the parent.

Easter is early this year. Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify Passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar. Based on the above, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22) but that is pretty rare.

Here's the interesting info. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier! Here are the facts:

1) The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones who were around for that!).

2) The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year

Quote from Mousesavers:

Using Walt Disney World Tickets at Disneyland

Interesting, unpublished fact: you can use any unexpired, leftover days on a Walt Disney World ticket at Disneyland or DCA! Present the Disney World ticket at the gate on arrival -- they will take it somewhere, deduct a day from it, and give you a one-day Disneyland Park Hopper ticket. You can repeat this day by day until the Disney World ticket is used up. They will not give you a multi-day ticket all at once, even if you have multiple days left on your Disney World ticket. Also, MouseSavers.com reader Danny P notes that any Disneyland ticket obtained from exchanging a Walt Disney World ticket must be used on the same day it was exchanged.

This policy has been in effect for at least 5 years, and the information was last reconfirmed by a MouseSavers.com reader as of December 2007.

Disneyland tickets are NOT accepted at Walt Disney World, and Annual Passes are only good at the park where they were purchased (WDW Annual Passes are NOT good at Disneyland, and vice versa).

He was the voice of Mickey Mouse for two decades.

He often ate lunch at his desk -- his favorite meal was chili and beans, which he ate with tomato juice and soda crackers.

He admitted to being "scared to death" when he had to face the camera to introduce episodes of the "Disneyland" television series.

He won more Oscars than anyone else -- 32.

There are 1,367 miles of cable on the ship.

On a three-day cruise, 6,525 pool towels will be used and washed, enough to handle every athlete of every participating country's Olympic swimming team.

There are 5,390 pillows on board.

8,260 cups of coffee are served every days, on board.

In a month of cruises on the Disney Wonder, 15,776 cans of Coca-Cola will be consumed. To play '99 Cans of Coke on the wall' you would need a wall 3,616 feet long and you'd have to sing the song for two straight days to get to the end.

The ship can make 1,200 tons of fresh water from seawater each day.

Well, since my plans got shot down for a Florida escape in March during the kid's Spring Break, Hazel and I are going to try again to get-away to Florida for a few days in May while Angelina is on her band/choir trip to Chicago. I got us some good fares on Southwest for $79 each way.

We will drop Angelina off at the high school at 5am, then we will be heading to the airport around 9am. We are due back in the same day as Angelina, we get in at 3pm, and Angelina is due back at the school at 10:30pm that night.

Hazel and I will fly in and out of Philly, the band/choir trip goes to Newark, NJ for their flights.

Hey, 5 days away, is better than no days away!!! :thumbsup2

Woody usually gets the shaft every couple of year as his Birthday is March 29 and it falls around Easter.

He grew his famous mustache at age 25.

When I worked for Disney we had to learn about "Uncle Walt". I have some really great pictures of him from DL. There is something about him that makes you feel good. Like your favorite relative. In a way he is part of every family.

http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p241/lauravell/P2270121.jpg

From staples I gather.
I have something similar to this, doesn't have the top thing though

Well we will see if this works in August. Sean and I have tickets left over.
You know they're a chatty bunch those americans....you just can't shut them up!:lmao: :thumbsup2

A man is dining in a fancy restaurant and there is a gorgeous redhead sitting at the next table. He has been checking her out since he sat down, but lacks the nerve to talk with her.

Suddenly she sneezes, and her glass eye comes flying out of its socket toward the man.

He reflexively reaches out, grabs it out of the air, and hands it back.

"Oh my, I am so sorry, " the woman says as she pops her eye back in place.

"Let me buy your dinner to make it up to you," she says.

They enjoy a wonderful dinner together, and afterwards they go to the theatre followed by drinks. They talk, they laugh, she shares her deepest dreams and he shares his. She listens.

After paying for everything, she asks him if he would like to come to her place for a nightcap and stay for breakfast.

They have a wonderful, wonderful time.

The next morning, she cooks a gourmet meal with all the trimmings. The guy is amazed. Everything had been SO incredible!

"You know, "he said, "you are the perfect woman. Are you this nice to every guy you meet? "

"No, "she replies. . . "

"You just happened to catch my eye."
