I had to go to the pet store to get a light for DS's fish tank and they had the cutest puppy there. Not sure what brand it was (see I'm not a dog person, I'm sure one of you would refer to it as breed :rotfl: ), but the guy said it gets to 80 pounds.
I have no idea how big that would be, but DS is only 52#, so it would be bigger than him. :scared1:
It was darn cute though. Whitish. Can't remember if it had any other colors - I thought it did. Good thing Suz wasn't with me.
Jeff, my DS is scared of big dogs - I think it has something to do with being knocked down by a chocolate lab when he was 3ish.
We aren't good candidates for dog ownership - the dog would be home 8-9 hours a day alone. Plus, we're usually gone on Saturdays too....pretty lonely life for a dog.

I just took this pic of Angelina's cat Stefani as she is laying on the foot rest of my Lazy Boy. This is one of Stefani's favorite places to sleep.

Good morning/afternoon everyone!
Back at work again today...sigh...
I really enjoyed seeing all the pet pics! That was fun!
Cass, my cats love to find fun "spots" too. When they were kittens, I would often find them both curled up together in the bathroom sink! It was so cute (except when I needed to brush my teeth!).

Our fur-baby ... Handsome Pete. We've had him since he was a kitten - he'll be 8 years old in July. He holds a special place in my heart because we picked him out just a few weeks before my brother died - having this little guy around really helped me through some tough times. He's a punk, but he's also a sweetheart.
He hates it when we travel...

Ok, so my geek husband is watching all the pre-flight online stuff for the shuttle launch tonight, so I am perusing photos and decided to share some with you.
What can I say, I am a scrapbooker, avid photographer and I take a lot of photos and love to share :rotfl:
Ok, let's start small....:lmao:
Here is a pic of Lilo and Goof...I've never seen them do this so I thought it was funny!
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/lilo-goof.jpg
And then, a few days laters, in the same spot...check this out...trust me when I say they never do this! :lmao: Lilo and Stitch
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/lilo-stitch.jpg
Cass you know how much I love your pooches!!! I wish we lived closer. Shadow would have a ball playing together! He needs someone his own size to run around with.

Then there were the cupboards above the fridge!

Ok, now I wanna share some funny Slinky pics. :goodvibes
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/slinky.jpg
We adopted Slinky in 2002 when he was one year old. He came from an abusive home and I felt bad for him. Unfortunately we had to get rid of him last year because he decided to use everything as his litterbox except his litterbox. We tried different medications and many different techniques to no avail. He's living the high life on a farm in Rimbey Alberta right now. He has what he's always wanted, FREEDOM!! :lmao: So he's happy and things turned out for him.
I've had cats all my life (the first five my parents let me name...all 5 of them Mickey! ) but never have I seen a cat with more personality than Slinky. He was sooo funny! He found the funniest spots and here's but a few of them...I have more but can't find them.
My desk chair...the blanket is there because he shed like crazy and it was supposed to prevent any Slinky hairs getting all over my chair!
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/25.jpg
He claimed the top of the fridge right away!
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/24.jpg
As well as the little niche above the fireplace...
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/23.jpg
The microwave..
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/22.jpg
and my drawer for my dishcloths...which he opened all by himself!
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/21.jpg
He also claimed the spot under my lamp above my desk..
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/20.jpg
Apparently, he needed to make a call on Rob's cell..
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/19.jpg

Yeah I can't wait. The comment for Jeff is that we are leasing and give the car back vs purchasing, was not a very wise and economical choice, but live and learn. As for the Durango, Sean is bound and determined to buy American made this year.
I couldn't stress enough how BAD a decision leasing a car is. Unless you can write the entire lease off somehow, I would never do it.
I had to run the numbers once for a company vehicle at a prior job and the rip off in leasing could be calculated in 1 of 3 ways:
1. You will end up paying over MSRP for the car (I've never bought a vehicle for more than $300 over Invoice).
2. You will be paying more than 20% for the use of the money (based on a reasonable purchase price of the vehicle).
3. You will be paying between $100-$150 for the servicing of the lease (sorry, they don't need that much money to do a lease).
They have "truth in lending" statements that have to be signed at the time you take out a loan. There realy should be "truth in leasing" as well. I think if people really ran the numbers, car leasing would die pretty quickly. But, most people think they need a new car every 3 years or a flashy one (not saying that is your case Becky) and look at this as a cheap way to do it. O.K., I'm off the soapbox.
As for an American car, what would define that? Many of the cars made by the Big 3 are built in Mexico. Many of the Japanese cars are 80% built here in the US.
So it depends if you want to support the workers or the corporation.

Good morning all!
Great pics Cass. I had to laugh at a lot of those pics. Did you make it a habit of feeding your kitty on top of the fridge? Perhaps if you moved his food bowls and his bed to the floor?? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
And, I spy, with my one little eye, quite a few Minnies in your house. Hmmmmmm, maybe you really do like her? :rotfl2:
My fav had to be the one where he snuggled up to your Mickey pencil holder. Smart cat! BTW...I have that same pencil holder (kind of). Mine has Mickey leaning on the cup with his feet crossed in front of him. :)
We had a cat many times while growing up too. Let's see, I had a Mitzy, Jessica, Mitzy (again), Piwackett, Coco, Ping Pong, So-what, and my longest lasting one was Kitty. I had her for 17 years! We had one dog who's name was Leepy (Lepcheun) ...a weiner dog. Then after Chuck and I got married we had a miniature schnauzer named Kipper and then finally Cabo San Lucas.
Gotta love those animals.
Nancy, there were only three Minnies and they were all wedding gifts ;) If they made wedding stuff without the skank, I would have bought them! :lmao: The wedding cake topper was the first gift we got, right after we announced it to my mom that we decided to get married she ran out to the Disney store in her jammies (she was very ill then) and got it for us. I think it was her way of saying that we had her blessing. Then she passed away which is why we got married in Vegas, I couldn't bare planning a big wedding without her. :sad1:
As for feeding Slink on the fridge, we didn't have a choice because Goofy was a huge bully! For 5 years he chased Slinky all day long. His only relief came in high places like the fridge because Goofy is too fat and lazy to get there
My Mickey pencil holder sounds the same as yours, Mickey's legs are crossed in front of him :thumbsup2

Hope it is not too bad for you. How close do you live to the coast?
I remember having 100 mph straight line winds come through when we were at the old house. That stuff is nasty. Luckily we have a weather radio and knew when they were about 45 min or so from reaching us. We went out and took all the patio furniture inside. Had them again a week later. Lots of trees down with those winds.

Hi Karen
The weather up north is getting bad now, we had just rain yesterday and a bit windy but it really picking up here to now.
Hold on to your hats
If I had a hat I'd hold onto it:goodvibes
Hope it is not too bad for you. How close do you live to the coast?
I remember having 100 mph straight line winds come through when we were at the old house. That stuff is nasty. Luckily we have a weather radio and knew when they were about 45 min or so from reaching us. We went out and took all the patio furniture inside. Had them again a week later. Lots of trees down with those winds.
We're about as central and as far away from the coast as you can get - the county is the West Midlands - bang in the middle of England.
I've already moved all the garden stuff and strapped down the bin lid - it took off like a frizbee last time and was half way down the close:eek:
Ellis has to wear an Easter hat?
Talk about scarring him for life.
I know:rolleyes: - We've decided on a green "grass" band and a bunny sitting up at the front. Found a template for the bunny;)

This is really weird..I was only looking at my atlas yesterday trying to locate some of you. Come on everyone...give me your locations.
I'll join in the fun. If you look near the bottom of this pic, I have a red circle at the area of New Jersey we live in. We are just west of the city of Woodbury. Here is a little history on Woodbury and it's founder:
Woodbury was founded by Henry Wood, a Quaker from the North-West of England, who had left Great Britain due to religious persecution. Wood was incarcerated in Lancaster gaol for practicing as a Quaker and left his home in the village of Tottington, near Bury, Lancashire, in a boat to set up a community in the new world where he and his family could practice his religion freely. His surname and his home town went to make up the name of the City he founded - Woodbury.
In 2000, the Borough of Bury, England, and the City of Woodbury were twinned as part of millennium celebrations in both countries. The twinning ceremony was the culmination of a week where more than 300 school children and college students, local dignitaries and local residents from Bury took part in sporting and cultural events held in and around Woodbury with local people.
During the week there was a symbolic meeting and reconciliation of the Vicar of Henry Wood's former church in Tottington and the Quaker's meeting house in Woodbury and an ecumenical service attended by many of the residents and visitors.

I didn't join the KK thread until about July (I think) and some of the WI DISers had already had a meet. Also looking at hotels. The Fairfield and Best Western Park Place look nice. There is also a boutique hotel for under $100 - something like Hotel Menage.
How many DVC points does DL or PP take again Becky?

I'm out looking at car rentals for the Repo right now. Trying to figure if I want to go back to LAX or drop near DL and stay out there on the 16th.
Also looking at hotels. The Fairfield and Best Western Park Place look nice. There is also a boutique hotel for under $100 - something like Hotel Menage.
How many DVC points does DL or PP take again Becky?

Nice area, but I don't think I'd ever live in CA. Prices too high for housing and the taxes are awful. Plus, all the stupid laws get past first in CA and the rest of the country then suffers.
Not for me.
I'll take FL or even TX, both with no income tax. NV is the same, but I think their schools aint gooder then the other states. :rotfl:
:lmao: I'm with you! And trying to get around was murder!!! I guess I am too southern (aka too lazy and slow) to keep up with everyone. And the price of everything!!! :scared1: I just could not get over it!
I haven't decided where I'd rather live yet...which is why I'm still here in WI! :lmao:
I think I'd get too stressed out if I lived in too big a city (I don't even really like driving in Milwaukee or Minneapolis). I do really like the Pacific Northwest - my mom's family is from Bellingham (north of Seattle about an hour) and the scenery is breathtaking....

There's an outlet mall in WI Dells that I went to this weekend...didn't stay long but I did manage to get to the Disney Outley and got DS 3 t-shirts for $5 each, and some Lion King little toys (originally $12.50 - I paid $5). I also got a skirt at Coldwater Creek outlet for $10 (originally $89.00) and some summer shoes from Easy Spirit for $10 (from 49.99)!
Yeay Woody - good luck on the new job!

I just heard on the noon news that it could take the body weeks to get use to the Spring Forward time change. I guess I shouldn't complain that it only takes me a few days to get used to it.
It was also stated that the body adjusts quicker to when the clocks are moved back in the fall, because we gain an hour of sleep.

Actually, I do too! It would look better with a darker colored ring around the logo though! I might make one of those later!
Thanks Cass! That helps a bunch!
I really like the purple, but I don't think the guys will go for it. I think I'm going to end up doing white after all. I think it will look best with the characters I plan to add on the front. Maybe I'll make black t-shirts with the Mickey Pumpkin for MNSSHP instead...
Ok, next question - are people thinking of doing the round logo or rectangular logo?
Yes, we need to decide this now....I don't have other cruises to plan for! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Do botrh - one white and one black - one for getting opnboard and one for our group photo meet. I then used mine to swim in *** my shoulders were burnt.
Me likey the purple, red and black and white one
Thanks for doing that Cass!
I like the black, the purple and the yellow. Rachel and I had yellow shirts last time and they worked out fine. I did have to ask Al last time what color would be OK for his shirt, I'm not sure he'd go for the purple either but it is a dark purple so he might.
I think we might do 2 shirts for Rach, Courtney and I. Al will only want one. Last cruise Rach had 2 and did like Karen, ended up wearing one of them while swimming to protect from the sun

I am also trying to decide if I want 1 or 2 shirts. I also thought about making 1 for embarkation day with a logo for my family only and not the BOB logo, but that seemed a bit wrong, so I scrapped that idea right away. I was just looking at Cass's sight again and we will probably each have 2 shirts, one for getting on the ship with the BOB logo and then I want to do a different one for the 4 of us with the Mickey pumpkin more as the main thing on our shirts for MNSSHP.

We've never taken DS to WDW, so part of me is wondering if MNSSHP and the MK for the first time AFTER a week on DCL will be too much - a sort of "fun" overload. By on the other hand, will we really ever get to do this again? Decisions, decisions....good thing I have a while to think about it.

Did you have a hard time getting tickets? Tickets go on sale this Sat. morning for the Jonas Brothers concert here in Milwaukee at Summerfest on July 6 and Rach is afraid they will sell out in seconds like the Hannah Montanna concert did. She would much rather see the Jonas Brothers though so she is really hoping to be able to get tickets this time!

I don't know if it would really be an overload, maybe just a nice end to a wonderful week :goodvibes Because they limit the number of tickets sold for MNSSHP (and even though this will probably definitely be sold out because of it being Halloween) the park crowd level is controlled and it might actually be a good time for his first trip to the MK and if you may never have the chance to get to MNSSHP again I highly recommend trying to go. Just try and plan some "rest" time for the afternoon. Like you said you have time, a little over a year until the tickets will go on sale, to decide.

Hey, my t-shirts will hopefully be done by Christmas this year - talk about being early! I want to give them as Christmas gifts, along with door signs. I have to do them anyways, and I'd feel goofy asking each family member to give me a few bucks for their t-shirt, but with at least 10 shirts to make, it won't be cheap. Plus, I'll have to break down and buy ink for my printer this time, so that's $50 right there!
