Good morning to everyone else. I'm giving up coffee and tea starting today. Since I've already given up soda I guess that leaves me with good old H20 & milk. Wish me luck everyone. :scared1:
DON'T DO IT!!!!:lmao: :scared1: :lmao: :scared1:
My Rob has given up coffee and sweet drinks (sodas, tea, koolaid), except for one cup of coffee in the morning. It has been a real sacrifice for him. He actually said to me last night that it would've been easier to give up booze!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Good morning/afternoon everyone!
I have been gone all weekend, and it looks like it will take me a while to catch up!
We had a lot of fun at the waterpark this weekend, but I am REALLY tired today. The kids just could not get enough of those waterslides!

Morning Everyone! Hope no one was late to work today. Boy I had a hard time getting up! The house was nice and cool and no sunlight peeking through the curtians...:cloud9: I could have slept for another 2 hours! Needless to say I did not getup and run this morning like I should have. It will be warmer this afternoon anyhow. I will run then.
Well Woody got off fine this morning. I ironed his new pants and packed his lunch. I even made him coffee! He said he would call at lunch and let me know how the day was going. I don't want to call him and be a bother.

I'm also going to make it to the adult beach too next time.
Sorry Ellis - you're in the kids club for an hour:rolleyes1 - the photos looked lovely of that beach and waaaay more empty than the family beach.
Other things I didnt do last time were:
Spa treatment, gym, cinema, topsiders for lunch, lie on a sunbed on the deck above the pool, cookery demo, martini tasting;) , the list goes onnnn
I have a "must do" list already:lmao: - thank goodness we get an extra sea day so I can fit it all in!
Karen, I also have a "to do" list for the next cruise:
- dessert cooking demo
- Palo brunch and/or dinner (we didn't get to Palo at ALL)
- Rockin' Bar D :woohoo:
I can't even think of them all right now....

Crap Karen, it looks like you didn't do a lot. What did you do?
We got to the movie theater, and I believe I got lunch from Topsiders (I thought that was the sea day after Cozumel - didn't Neil and I eat from there while you and Suz had deserts from Quiet Cove Cafe'? :rolleyes1 ).
Did the spa on the first cruise, will probably do the gym on the next one, but I just walk or run, so I might do that on Deck 4 (saw Walt/Di on that deck a couple of times :thumbsup2 ). Would like to do one of the demos. Sunbed on Deck 10? Sorry, I'll take one on Deck 9. Too bloody hot up on 10 and you're closer to the pool on 9. :thumbsup2 Although they'll be easier to get.
Not into martini's but Suz is. I'll skip that one.
Luckily we have 7 sea days not counting the day we sail through the Canal in August. Guess I should look to experience a few more things on the ship.
We only ate in Lumiere's once for lunch and that was on our first cruise. I really enjoyed it, but Suz doesn't want to waste time inside for lunch when she can eat out in the sun. Anyone want to join me on one of the sea days on BOB for lunch in Lumiere's? Maybe we could do a DIS meet on that Thursday for lunch if we don't have anything else planned for that day. :thumbsup2
I'll be there! We had lunch at Lumiere's once....best bacon cheeseburger ever! I think they put 6 strips of bacon on the thing. We're sort of spoiled - we love table service as opposed to a buffet.

We had a nice day today. mid 50's. Woody and I went to the outlets in Williamsburg to get him clothes for work. Ralph Lauren, J Crew, LL Bean, and Gap. We found some really great deals. We also both got new running shoes too. We wear Sauconys and the style I were retails at $180 and I got them for $90! Woodys are usually $145 and his were $34!!!:cool1:
He starts his new job tomorrow! He is actually excited!
There's an outlet mall in WI Dells that I went to this weekend...didn't stay long but I did manage to get to the Disney Outley and got DS 3 t-shirts for $5 each, and some Lion King little toys (originally $12.50 - I paid $5). I also got a skirt at Coldwater Creek outlet for $10 (originally $89.00) and some summer shoes from Easy Spirit for $10 (from 49.99)!
Yeay Woody - good luck on the new job!

Ok, one more "my family is going to drive me crazy before the cruise" story, and then I'll behave.
I'm planning to make t-shirts for the cruise for everyone as part of their Christmas gift. I decided to ask them now who their favorite Disney characters are, so I have some time to search for really good clipart. Ok, so first they asked if it was limited to Disney movies, or any film studio connected to Disney (MGM, New Line)....then they started coming up with all these obscure characters (Dr. Terminus from Pete's Dragon - is that really anyone's favorite Disney character?). Then they asked how long they had to think about it???? Is it really that hard? Am I being unreasonable? :confused3
Ok, rant over. The all get Minnie Mouse (even the boys) if they don't give me an answer....

Ok, since I have started thinking about t-shirts (again) for the B.O.B. cruise, I'd like some opininons. I was originally going to use black t-shirts since Cass's logo would look so sharp - but now I'm thinking about using white t-shirts since I think the front part (name and fave character) will show up better on white. I did light blue last time, but I don't think that would look good with the B.O.B. logo.
Thoughts, anyone?

Jen,
I actually had transfer paper in my hand this weekend at Sam’s but put it back. I like using the transfer paper for dark clothing because I think it so much easier to use and the colors really stand out much nicer.
The dark clothing transfer paper is white so you have to be able to trim your image nice and tight so the paper doesn’t show up on the dark shirt.
I’m thinking of using a black t-shirt this time too but just think how hot that thing will be in the hot hot hot Caribbean sun. White t-shirts would be nice too, but it sure won’t show off that amazing logo Cass did for us as nice as a black shirt would.
How about purple, yellow or DIS green??
I’m stuck myself so I’m waiting with you for more suggestions.

Jen, I'm no help when it comes to t-shirts - Jay and I don't do matching shirts and I never iron if at all possible. :rotfl2:
But I do think the logo would look really nice on white - it would POP; ya know what I mean?
And ... yeah baby it's offical! We're going to WDW October 8th - October 17th. Just got the final confirmations from DVC today. :thumbsup2

Pete mentioned (after I said I was thinking about changing the color of the t-shirts) that he thought black would be too hot, even in October.
The light blue t-shirts I did I used regular transfer paper, and the t-shirts turned out ok, but I might use dark transfer paper this time. I didn't think the colors looked as nice as they could have, but it was my first iron-on attempt, so I was happy.

:thumbsup2

I really like the purple, but I don't think the guys will go for it. I think I'm going to end up doing white after all. I think it will look best with the characters I plan to add on the front. Maybe I'll make black t-shirts with the Mickey Pumpkin for MNSSHP instead...

Good evening everybody
Karen, I also have a "to do" list for the next cruise:
- dessert cooking demo
- Palo brunch and/or dinner (we didn't get to Palo at ALL)
- Rockin' Bar D :woohoo:
I can't even think of them all right now....
You've got to get to Palo next time - brunch and dinner are both fab:banana:
Holy Cow! Is it about 3L to 1 gallon? Is that right? So if I have a 15 gallon gas tank it would cost me $162 to fill up! :scared:
Yep:rolleyes: - thats England for ya:rolleyes: £££££££££
It costs Neil $180 to fill his Grand cherokee.
I forgot to tell everyone. Mackenzie learned how to tie her shoes last week and made the shoe tying wall at school.
:woohoo: Well done Mackenzie:woohoo: - Ellis just gets velcro shoes:rolleyes1
Ok, since I have started thinking about t-shirts (again) for the B.O.B. cruise, I'd like some opininons. I was originally going to use black t-shirts since Cass's logo would look so sharp - but now I'm thinking about using white t-shirts since I think the front part (name and fave character) will show up better on white. I did light blue last time, but I don't think that would look good with the B.O.B. logo.
Thoughts, anyone?
Do botrh - one white and one black - one for getting opnboard and one for our group photo meet. I then used mine to swim in *** my shoulders were burnt.

We had things blowing everywhere and the noise was horrendous. Barely slept. Neil gave up at 5am and went to work. He had to drive to Wales and the forecast there was real bad so I was panicking til he called to tell me he'd got there fine and it was lovely and sunny there:eek:

The trick with doing iron-ons on both sides is to NOT have them in the same place. If you do the front near the breast pocket and then on the back do one lower down in the middle then you won't have any problems ;)

we're at $3.00 per gallon for "unleaded" gas. For mid-grade it's $3.10 and premium is $3.25. After seeing the closing pricing on crude today ($108 per barrel ... :scared1: ) I'm sure those prices will jump another 25 cents by the time I leave work tonight.

I would stay there again. Haven't been there for awhile, but what I do like is that they have the suite, sitting room and a bedroom that has a door that can be closed, plus a microwave and fridge. It's definately not the Ritz, but it is a decent place to sleep in, and it is walking distance to the park, probably just as far as you would walk if not closer to the Paradise Pier.
1st floor is parking, then the uppers are rooms, they do have elevators.

It's insane, isn't it?
When I first took the job I have (nearly five years ago) I think gas was about $1.25 per gallon. It's getting very hard to justify a 60-mile roundtrip daily commute with $3-$4 per gallon gas. If this keeps up I'm really going to have to make a budget.

I'm no expert but a lot of this is plain old supply and demand. China and India are huge oil users today compared with 10 years ago.
Throw in political instability in many of the countries that oil is extracted from along with limited US refining capacity and OPEC's stance that they will not increase production (and why should they ... they're just being good capitalists) and you have the current situation.
Then consider how badly the dollar is faring against other currencies ...
Awwww crap ... I need a drink! :rotfl2:

Good thing I bought a new card reader for my digital camera as my old one ate up all my shower pics!! Un-freakin-believable...I actually watched all the pictures delete themselves, one-by-one!!
Here is the only one I thought was good enough to steal off of Kristin's camera. Stacy's mom should have more pictures which I'll get later.
This is a picture of one of the games we played called: "Here comes the bride". Groups of 6 guests pick a card that has a dress part listed on it. Using tissue paper, they make that part of the dress.
Here are the grand results!!

Stacy did have a good time. Lots of great gifts for them too. The shower was held at a clubhouse in an apartment complex where the maid of honor's boyfriend lives. :)

Actually I thought the same thing when I took that photo! I didn't put them there either...they were sitting that way so I snapped a picture!
When they were kittens we had a hard time telling them apart - we called them our twin kitties. Elminster has a small white patch on his throat that distinguished him. Now, we can tell by their faces and the texture of their fur (Mara's fur is silkier).

Lori and Scott, Happy Anniversary to you guys :flower: How many years???
Woody, good luck tomorrow buddy! Go get'em tiger! :car:
Karen, if you decide to do the jetskis, fair warning that it ain't that much fun in the back. Rob and I did this in Jamaica and he had a blast but it really sucked for me in the back. It was bumpy, I got splashed a lot and it was hard to hold onto him even though his life jacket thing had handles on it near the back sides for me to hold. My bum hurt for hours! We are doing the jetskis on CC too but I want one of my own!!! :o
It was funny, we got off our jetski and he was grinning from ear to ear then he looked at me and I was a big old grump for an hour afterwards. I was like "Apparently you weren't on the same ride as me buddy!!"
Thanks for the anniversary wishes. We've been married 12 years.

When I first took the job I have (nearly five years ago) I think gas was about $1.25 per gallon. It's getting very hard to justify a 60-mile roundtrip daily commute with $3-$4 per gallon gas. If this keeps up I'm really going to have to make a budget.

I'm not a big cat lover, but our first cat was named Snowball. Hazel's mom's cat had kittens shortly before our daughter Kristen was stillborn back in April 1977. Hazel called me from her mom's house one day and asked if she could bring one of the kittens home. What else could I say but yes. The kitten was a pure white Angora, that's why we named her Snowball. Like you Brenda, that kitten helped Hazel and I both get through some tough days. We had snowball for more than 14 years. We had her put down a few months after we adopted Angelina, because Snowball's health started going downhill quickly.

Kitties somehow know how to make you feel better. They can just tell.:)

Ok, now I wanna share some funny Slinky pics. :goodvibes
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/slinky.jpg
We adopted Slinky in 2002 when he was one year old. He came from an abusive home and I felt bad for him. Unfortunately we had to get rid of him last year because he decided to use everything as his litterbox except his litterbox. We tried different medications and many different techniques to no avail. He's living the high life on a farm in Rimbey Alberta right now. He has what he's always wanted, FREEDOM!! :lmao: So he's happy and things turned out for him.
I've had cats all my life (the first five my parents let me name...all 5 of them Mickey! ) but never have I seen a cat with more personality than Slinky. He was sooo funny! He found the funniest spots and here's but a few of them...I have more but can't find them.
My desk chair...the blanket is there because he shed like crazy and it was supposed to prevent any Slinky hairs getting all over my chair!
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/25.jpg
He claimed the top of the fridge right away!
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/24.jpg
As well as the little niche above the fireplace...

The microwave..

and my drawer for my dishcloths...which he opened all by himself!
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/21.jpg

http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l120/timoncass/20.jpg

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it ...
It's a pretty fundamental rule of history that the King Turd of Diaper Hill doesn't stay so for long ... there's always another little crapper waiting to take you down. ;)
:lmao: :lmao:
It was the first thing we all thought of. :rotfl2:
Poor Cabo, give the lad a break he made a mistake...Can't blame the dog for wanting to improve his intelligence...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Then I have a couple of puppy pics....
No wonder we got them...
Can you tell which one is Lilo (hyperactive, playful one) and which one is Stitch (lazy butt!) LOL!

Good morning all!
Great pics Cass. I had to laugh at a lot of those pics. Did you make it a habit of feeding your kitty on top of the fridge? Perhaps if you moved his food bowls and his bed to the floor?? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
And, I spy, with my one little eye, quite a few Minnies in your house. Hmmmmmm, maybe you really do like her? :rotfl2:
My fav had to be the one where he snuggled up to your Mickey pencil holder. Smart cat! BTW...I have that same pencil holder (kind of). Mine has Mickey leaning on the cup with his feet crossed in front of him. :)
We had a cat many times while growing up too. Let's see, I had a Mitzy, Jessica, Mitzy (again), Piwackett, Coco, Ping Pong, So-what, and my longest lasting one was Kitty. I had her for 17 years! We had one dog who's name was Leepy (Lepcheun) ...a weiner dog. Then after Chuck and I got married we had a miniature schnauzer named Kipper and then finally Cabo San Lucas.
Gotta love those animals.

I think she went to the beach to see this big storm that is heading toward the UK. Suppose to be hurricane force winds and snow. :scared1:

Here it is worse, my dog ate my textbook. She should get a pass from the teacher for this one. :thumbsup2

I had to go to the pet store to get a light for DS's fish tank and they had the cutest puppy there. Not sure what brand it was (see I'm not a dog person, I'm sure one of you would refer to it as breed :rotfl: ), but the guy said it gets to 80 pounds.
I have no idea how big that would be, but DS is only 52#, so it would be bigger than him. :scared1:
It was darn cute though. Whitish. Can't remember if it had any other colors - I thought it did. Good thing Suz wasn't with me.

Good afternoon everybody:goodvibes
Been busy this morning - started making my sofa cushions - I'm not the fastet at thaat kind of stuff:rolleyes:
I might just do buttons too Shelley. Probably much cheaper than shirts....but now that Cass put the images on the colored backgrounds, I'm liking the purple shirt idea too. :confused3
Buttons - where do you get blank buttons? and how do you get the image onto them?
Karen--where ye be???
I be here now!:goodvibes

:lmao: You're not far wrong Jeff - the forecast is even worse fo my area tonight. Neil keeps ringing up and asking about the house ridge tiles on the roof - yeah right! - I'm fine thanks Neil:rolleyes: ...you just stay in your nice cosy hotel and bar:rolleyes: - I'll look after the house, child etc...as long as your having fun dear:rolleyes:
Day 2 of diet is going well:thumbsup2 - just to let you all know - I put on every pound that I'd lost so I'm starting over:rolleyes1
I have til late july to squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze into a swimsuit and it aint gonna be pretty:scared1: - it might help clear a big spot on the beach in Greece though:rotfl2:
I did lots of exercise yesterday and then walked the long way to Ellis' school last night and back. I'm off on the treadmill now for an hour.
According to Dr Phil I shouldnt rely on willpower - I'll fail (gee - really!). I need to put into place alternative things so I cant eat at my week moments of the day - mine is 8.30pm once Ellis is in bed - (otherwise known as cheese and wine time:rolleyes1 ).
Not any more:rolleyes:
Have a good day people. If you see a mad aussie fly past you tonight it'll be me blowing across the atlantic so catch hold if you can. They reckon my area could reach up to 80mph tonight:scared1:
Toto, I dont think we're in Kanzas any more......
