Ormond Beach/Daytona Beach??

Can anyone tell me where they would suggest a family of 4 stay in the Ormond beach area? I read a post somewhere regarding this area and they said their family loved the beach and the pellicans etc. Can anyone help me out here?

We're travelling down with another family of 6 and we want to spend the night in the Ormond or Daytona Beach area but really want something that's family oriented right on the beach.

We loved Ormond beach. We stayed at the Howard Johnson's Ormond Beach Ocean Front. I think it cost $59.00 USF for a night last April.

Our room faced the ocean. The room was very clean with exception to the bath tub. Actually the tub was clean, but it was old looking. We had a kitchen, which was nice in the morning for breakky. The beach was clean and very pretty! The pool and whirl pool were in the front of the hotel as was a Shoney's Restaurant, surprised how nice that was. There was a Publix, Walgreens and Dollar Store right across the street!

I would recommend Ormond Beach highly! Sandra
