I will be phoning later today to make a room only reservation :yay: (to be switched to a pkg when they are released in Aug) and I am wondering what is the best way to pay for the deposit. Would it be better to use my credit card or send a cheque. :confused3 I know this has been asked before but for some reason I can't get the search feature to work. TIA for all your help! :)

I always pay by credit card either when I make the reservation, or a few days before the deposit is due. I feel more secure in that, than sending a cheque in the mail.

Credit card for sure. Way safer.

thanks so much! I feel better about using my CC anyways, just wanted to make sure it was the best way. :)

Do you know for sure if you can do this? I know I wanted to book a 2 bedroom at AKV and then drop to a 1 bedroom. A 2 bedroom is a 1 bedroom with an add-on studio and wanted the flexability if BIL cancels. To me it made sense since I already secured the 1 bedroom and all they had to do is return the studio to inventory BUT was told could not do this since it is a new reservation. I would be subject to the availability at the time.

This was DVC and Packages could be different.

If it is a new reservation number I do not know if having a room only will secure a package for you. You might want to check just in case.

Either way you can always cancel the first and tranfer the deposit to the package if that deal is better.
