I know many of us Canadians/Ontarians like to fly out of BUF to MCO. I am curious to know if anybody has ever had to deal with lost or delayed luggage coming home from their vacations? I am considering on doing the resort airline check-in so I don't have to deal with luggage again until arrival at BUF. But what if my luggage is delayed? Will Jet Blue deliver them to my home in Ontario??? I have had experience with delayed luggage at Pearson, and Air Canada was good about getting them back to me by the next day. But how do they go about it when they would have to bring luggage across the border/customs etc?? My worst fear and nightmare is not finding my luggage at the carousels! Thanks in advance for sharing any insight/personal experiences.

All i can tell you is that I have flown out of buffalo about 16 times in the past 2 years and have never had lost or delayed luggage.

The only problem I ever had was three years ago - my DSIS and I had a connecting flight with Delta coming home, the first flight was delayed so we missed our second one and had to wait. Somehow our luggage ended up on a flight to Chicago instead of Buffalo, and it was very late when we got to Buffalo. There was someone at the luggage pick-up to help everyone (the whole plane's luggage was redirected), and they delivered our suitcases the next morning by Purolator. I lived an hour away at the time and my DSIS lived even further away from the airport, but had no problem getting everything back in one piece!

The 2x our luggage was delayed we offered to come back to Buffalo to pick it up. We got $150/each time in SW credits to apply to future travel.

A year or so ago about 2/3 of our flight's luggage didn't make the flight. We arrived about 6pm and the luggage came on the 10pm flight. we went to the mall and had dinner and then came back. But they told us at the time they could deliver it to Canada. I don't think you have any better/worse chances of having your luggage misplaced with either YYZ or BUF.

We had a luggage issue with JetBlue abut 18 months ago -- they handled it very well (they lost our son's car seat). They gave us a loaner car seat, and advised us they would deliver our own seat to our home in Mississauga, when it showed up at the airport. There was no issue with delivering luggage to Canada.

SW offered us a credit or drop off of the bags. We took the drop off as I didn't feel like going back over the next morning.

Never on at least 5 flights!
