I want to make some cards -- where do I start?

I have all of the scrapping supplies. Anyone here make greeting cards?

Yup! Pretty much think of a greeting card as a very small scrapbook page and go from there. Take a look at twopeas for ideas.

I was making cards before I started scrapping! Follow he ScrapFreak link in my siggy then go from the gallery to the message board and look under "Freaky Friday" for weekly cardmaking challenges full of sketches, color combos, embellishment ideas, etc. Just like with layouts there isn't any right or wrong way to make cards and there are lots of galleries out there to lift ideas from!

Although it is primarily geared for stamping you can find lots of ideas, tuturials and other things besides stamping at www.splitcoaststampers.com. The one magazine that I order is Paper Crafts. They have a lot of ideas out on their website for cards too. www.papercraftsmag.com. Have fun!

Sometimes the scap mags have a card idea or two as well - I find them useful. And look around card shops - ignore those with pre-made toppers and see if there are any ideas you could scraplift ;)
