It wont be brought back to life, but is supposably being brought back as a closed thread. Kimmie said she found the first third. Took about a year to do what Carrie has done in almost 2 months

He went back to the Dr. and he's starting to improve! :cool1: He did sound better today, that's for sure! Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. They are working! :grouphug:

Kimmie, I am so glad to hear that Dad is improving :) Will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers

http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t223/KimmieleeInLO/snowstorm.gif Only about 2 inches so far... School is NOT closed... :thumbsup2 More snow coming today. I think I heard that the most accumulation is a bit south of Jen and I... good, they can have it!

Cdn - I received notification that the first 1/3 of the old thread was available, the other 2 will be coming. It was a little over 10 months of the first year of the thread and it dawned on me that we posted the same amount in LESS than 2 months on this one!

It's kind of entertaining reading, actually. :lmao:

Cait - Thanks for the well wishes. I'm very happy that he was better yesterday. I was thinking I needed to head down there if he wasn't!

Ok... major dream last night. I met my future husband! We met on a blind date, he's tall and incredibly sweet. He won a $250 Million lotto (No, $$$ is not important to me) but you would NEVER have known it. He was so real, so down to earth and adored me from the get go. He had given most of the money to help out underpriviledged children, invested some and bought all his brothers and sisters houses. The most humble man I've never met!
Hmmmm.... maybe dreams do come true?

As many of you know back in August my mother had the 2nd of 3 strokes. At 57 she had good prospects for recovery. It was a long 6-7 weeks in the rehab hospital, and then home and lots of PT.

In January, the Drs decided that she was at the point in her recovery that she could think about going back to work. About 3 weeks ago, Mom went back to work, unfortunetly they wanted her to go full time, as opposed to her plan to go part time a few hours a day to ease back in.

I spoke with her lastnight, and she has decided, that the job isn't worth it, that she is just to tired and not feeling well everyday. She is speaking to her Dr. today about going out on long-term disability, until its time to retire.

My step-dad and I spoke last week about his concerns. He was worried that she was taking to much on, she was always tired and snapping at him all the time (which is not like her), and seemingly depressed. I told him that not working was a choice Mom had to make for herself, but I prayed that she would make it sooner rather then later.

The phone call lastnight, lifted alot of stress and worry off my shoulders. My biggest fear was that she would have another stroke.

I wanted to thank you all again for the thoughts and prayers, and some of you even had to listen to me my cry on the phone. That is a true friend, you know who you are, and you ROCK!!

I have to finish my hair, get dressed, feed by darling boy who BUSTED me last night pretending to be asleep with I was pretending to be the freakin TOOTH FAIRY - (Scared the crap out of me!! :scared1: ), make his lunch and get out the door in 45 minutes.... but no... it was more important to find some cool MySpace stuff for my peeps this morning! :rotfl2:

Here's what I envision Noah doing someday... http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t223/KimmieleeInLO/Snowtongue.gif Can you say NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????

By the way, I told him if he stops believing in the Tooth Fairy that $$$ stops coming. His response, "Oh Momma, I still believe in her. I just think she couldn't get here due to the snow and you helped her this time!" Gotta love the kid, eh?

Just made a reservation for the Dine with an Imagineer program, so I will have lunch at the Brown Derby with an imagineer. Maybe he can give me some tips on getting a job.

And speaking of jobs, congrats to Mel for her new one. Will you still be in the Boston area?

Hey maybe their like Santa Claus. Santa has helpers who dresses like him at every street corner and department store. Maybe Mickey does the same thing....:lmao:

The same way Santa can be at every mall in America from Thanksgiving until December 24: MAGIC! That and he has a lot of helpers to stand in for him. But I know that the Mickey I met was the real one.

She is doing okay... she may have to have surgery soon for her battery that was replaced a year ago... she may have to turn herself off at night to conserve the battery. (this is for her deep brain stimulators she has for her essential tremors for those who dont know)

Paula.. we are getting your rain now

Hi,

Glad to read that Kimmielee's dad is getting better. I will pray for his continued improvement. I've had a similar dream about a woman, but unlike Kimmielee, I actually met Jennifer, on an airplane on June 5, 2006, en route from Fort Lauderdale, FL (in which my buddy Jay and I had attended a PromiseKeepers conference) to Philly. But alas, Jennifer, one of the most beautiful women I'd ever met, and her mother disappeared down the jetway before I could get any contact information. No wonder I'm still single. :rotfl:

Cait, any job which causes a personality change such as in your mother cannot be healthy. I'm glad she made the decision that was right for her, on her own.

Gregg, those pictures are terrific! Great job! However, I believe that I'll stay home in 2008 and pay off the credit card debt that I've run up. That means no Disney, or anywhere, until at least next year.

I'm pretty happy with The Right One dating service. Because I have cerebral palsy and cannot drive, it guaranteed me only three dates a year. I said I was fine with that, because on my own I probably wouldn't bother, since I average one a year if I'm lucky. I set my age range to 34-54 (ten years either way) and have had three dates in the last three months, two with my first match, Ingrid. She's 54 and has a three-year-old adopted special-needs son. We get along pretty well. She lives about 45 minutes south and east of me. The second match was a 35-year-old woman from PA named Robbie, who is probably a 10.5 on mdhkitten's Disney fan scale. I thought that she and I got along well at our lunch on January 19, 2008 at Philadelphia's Hard Rock Cafe. After the date, I called her to make sure she got home safely. I called her again a few days later and suggested we get together, but she wasn't home so I left a message. Because she has never called back, I've assumed she's not interested in me. In the mail the other day I got a letter from The Right One saying that there were no suitable matches for me in February and that it was extending my membership by another month. Might as well keep trying.

from snowy Kentucky!

I haven't been in much since the new job is keeping me tied up 12 hours a day but since I am snowbound I thought I'd drop in :)

I hope everyone is doing great...I see we managed to knock out 10,000 posts for the second time...and in record time!

Our best to all!
