I'm on here everyday for a look at all the lovely photos. We hope to stay here for our next trip and you can never plan enough - even though we won't be going again until 2010!:lmao:

We are planning our next trip (Just DH & I) for our 25th anniv. in 2010 & thinking of staying at BC also. Loving these pics!!! It still seems so faaarrr away though.

Here are some photos of our room from last week. Also, here is a description of the room:

We were in room 4626 last week. Here's what we got:

- 4th floor (highest non-club-level floor)
- newly-renovated (biggest plus for us was full use of the dresser top due to the TV being mounted on the wall)
- full balcony
- daybed
- garden view
- neighbors only on one side
- no neighbors above (the 5th floor does not expand throughout the whole resort)
- right next to the lobby elevators (but we did not notice any elevator noise)
- elevators also right at the Marketplace on 1st floor. Very convenient!!

The only minor negatives (and I wouldn't complain about these at all):
- vending area directly above us. This meant that periodically, we would hear ice cubes rolling across the floor overhead. Mostly, this was mid- to late-mornings when we should have been up and out early anyway.
- because we were close to the elevator, we sometimes heard small children running down the hall and screaming early in the morning before breakfast (6:45 - 7:45am). This is more the parents' issue than the hotel's.
- view did overlook the rooftop of the solarium and an a/c unit, but it did not bother us, and I would prefer this to a parking lot or overlooking the kitchen and loading dock (ours was a standard view room)

The shower curtain rod was one of the curved ones, allowing for more elbow room in the shower. Since this was our first visit, I'm not sure if this is refurbishment or not.

Just thought I'd post pics of the views from the two rooms I had last week...

First room - Concierge Level, room 5714 - renovated, no daybed, full balcony. You could see Spaceship Earth off in the distance, but the foreground was the roof on the building below, a service path and then a bit of the waterway. Not a great view. Not sure which view this counted as - we booked a standard view room and were upgraded to concierge. Looking down at the bus stop basically.

Second room - 4th floor, room 4363 - renovated, daybed, tiny balcony. Looked straight out at the Boardwalk. Perfect view. Too bad there wasn't a balcony. It did have beautiful arched windows across the entire wall though, so when you came home at night, you had a beautiful view to walk into. Also, the door to the room was kind of in a little nook and not facing directly into the room or the hallway (hard to explain) and it made the room a lot quieter from hall noise. Of course, the movies on the beach were so loud that you could hear every. single. line.

My only request was for a recently-refurbished room and they knew we had 5 guests, so they knew we needed the daybed. I don't know how many have been refurbished so far. Our hallway carpet was laid during the week that we were there. We did not have a corner room. Well, it was sort-of an "inside corner" room, since it was the first room in the hallway after you got off the elevator and entered into a hallway that went in three directions.

Sorry to post this here, but has anyone noticed if the vaccuums in the villas have a hose w/them? I want to use space bags, but I'm not sure if I should just use the travel one w/out needing a vaccuum. Maybe someone took a pic of the utility closet?:confused3

Do you know if any of these are considered standard rooms?

Are any of the illumination views considered standard? Are they nice, has anyone had them?

Actually, I called the BC this morning to put in my request for a full balcony view of Illuminations and they told me that ,"Yes, some of the standard rooms have a view of the Ecot's Illuminations." and she put my request in the system. I'll have to let you know how lucky we are when we get back. We'll be checking in on Monday! :dance3: :yay: :dance3: :yay:

I asked our travel agent to request a room on the 1st floor in the building closes to Epcot. I tried to call and request a couple of things myself and I was told that our TA had to make the call because we booked our trip through the TA and not through Disney. So now I want to make sure that we get a new remodeled room instead of the older rooms. I tried to call again, but was sent straight to reservations and I decided to hang up. So -

Question???

Does anyone know if all the rooms are finished yet or not??? If the 1st floor isn't I want my TA to call and request rooms that are remodeled.

Oh yes! Beaches & Cream is on our 'list'....DH & DD are major ice cream fanatics. I showed them several pics from previous posters with their ice creams and such and their mouths were watering so badly I had to shoo them away from the puter!!!;) I cannot wait! It's already cooling off here in IL....it's way to early to be talking about Indian Summer here....I'm pretty depressed about it. I'm hoping this doesn't last.

We had a great trip last month and a great location! Room 2621 just a short walk to the lobby/Epcot/pool. Up the stairs on the MarketPlace side and a short walk down the hall. Great view, full balcony, and newly renovated. What a great complimentary upgrade.

I noticed some Deluxe resorts have counter service and some have sit down with limited CS service. I find that that dispointing about BC/YC. We like to just grab a quick CS breakfast. I don't want to have to make ADR's every morning for Captians Galley.:confused3

Are the YC rooms supposed to be getting done? If so would that be before Spring does anyone know?

Several months ago, at the beginning of August, I was told by club level CMs at the YC that the YC room renovations would start after BC was finished. I think the BC renovations are completed with exception of the Concierge lounge and a couple of suites.

There have been conflicting reports, however, that YC would not be started until 2009. Even if the YC renovations started soon, I would think the renovations would take several months. So, certainly the rooms would not be completed by spring. Just my speculation and what I was told several months ago. :)

We are going to the BCV starting on January 18th and are hoping to be lucky to get a refurbished room. Does anyone have any pictures of a refurbed room? From another thread, it seemsl ike the 3rd floor has definitely been reefurbished. Anyone know of any other floors where the rooms have been refurbished? Thanks!

Set to begin this summer are the Caribbean Beach Resort and Boardwalk Resort, followed later in the year with Beach Club, Yacht Club, Coronado Springs, and Wilderness Lodge Villas. The projects are total refurbishment of the guests rooms, including new carpet, wallpaper, paint and furniture."

As far as I know it's not the peanut butter one cause that's the No Way Jose. Unless they have changed the way it looks. We haven't had one since June 2008. Maybe it has butterscotch on it.

There are so many beautiful photos on this thread!

I have seen some wonderful pictures of public areas that I believe are at the beach club, a room surrounded by windows and filled with chairs and sofas, a long hallway lined with tables, chairs and benches, a wonderful bench-lined arched nook, and a sitting area anchored with a giant rug with beautiful pictures above it. Can someone re-post these photos and label where to find these areas?

All the images I described are at the Beach Club, I think. Does the Yacht Club have similar beautiful out of the way areas? I would love to see photos of these areas (with instructions to locate them also) and other interior shots of the YC.

I tried to look at as many pages as possible, but loading photos with a dial-up connection is a PITA. So I thought I would post my request. :goodvibes

I'm glad they gave the BC a bit of TLC, but I must say I miss some of the softer colors of the old rooms. The dark woods and dark carpet seem like they would have been better suited for the YC. :confused3

I really do like the BC, but as far as refurbed rooms go, I think the BWI puts them to shame!

I don't know the exact room number but my in-laws had a standard view room that was great. It was on the 1st floor, wedding gazebo area, one of the furtherst ones down from the entrance (closer to the side door entrance). If you looked to the right you had a nice view of the lake, and to the front was a beautiful courtyard.

We have had waterview rooms with direct view of the lake and they were gorgeous!

My picture, near the top of this pag, is from our room 3150 I think. It was a standard room that overlooked the wedding gazebo and had a side view of the lake. I would just ask for a standard room with a view of the wedding gazebo, and you will most likely have a similar view to ours which we loved!

So, with a room in location x150, you look straight across at other balconies, and if you look right instead of left, more balconies right?

I'd like to view the water from my standard room, but not at the expense of having others viewing me! (I ain't that pretty in the morning! :rotfl:)

In Sept I'll be at a Standard room YC for week 2 (week 1 at POP), and I plan to chill out & relax, so picked YC to be sure of a full balcony (very important to me for that part of trip)-- plan to spend most of my room time (that is, when not a-bed) out on balcony (relaxing, doing nails, sitting back w/ cup of tea (or whatever!) in the evening, breakfast time).

I was thinking about asking for highest floor they'd give me over looking the Parking lot.... not the convention centre.
I figured the experience would be that much richer for having a balcony somewhat private?


Any thoughts on standard rooms w/ view of quiet pool or tennis court? (I expect these, like the parking lot view would only get the late afternoon sun)

The villas do not have the flat panel tv's and the same bedding as the hotel side. Still nice either way!

First of all you have picked a great place for a honeymoon! The Beach Club is a great location, you will not be disappointed. We are Vacation Club members and go to Disney alot. The Villa's have new carpeting and bed spreads but the T.V.'s will stay the same and not be replaced by the flat screens due to the furniture. They have put them in the regular hotel.

Anyway enjoy your trip, we will be there the 25th -2nd. Can't wait :cheer2:

I could hardly get my dd (20 years old) out of bed! We kept joking that if WDW wanted people in the parks spending money they shouldn't have made the beds so comfortable.
