hi, we are 7 good friends :grouphug: planning a trip for march-april '09. now some haven't been to Disney before and i want a good impression on them. we are all on tight budgets so i was originally planning to try to get two connecting rooms at POP, but do you guys think we should book at a mod (and if so, which one) since values are more geared towards families. any input would be nice. thanks
please help an indecisive soul :confused3

Pop is okay for adults.
but remember the extra charges for adults over 2 in any room.
can you possible go May or Sept - cheaper.
march/april is spring break time so expensive.

My group of 10 adults (5 couples in their 20s - 30s) has a similar dilemna for our WDW trip later this year (1st or 2nd week in December). I was actually doing the opposite and recommending the sharing of rooms at POR or POFQ (since I know lots of people who LOVED those resorts). I now understand, however, that for the price of sharing space at a Moderate (3 rooms total - 2 with 4 people, and 1 with 2 people), each couple could have their own room at a Value (POP seems to be the favorite with people I've spoken to).
I'm going to lay out both options to the group, with as much pertinent info as possible to highlight the pluses and minuses of each set-up (pictures of internal and external feagures, details on the amenities at each, approximate distances to Parks and transportation options, etc.). Then, we'll just have to take a vote to see which it will be, Moderate or Value.
The conclusion I've come to is this: iregardless of where we stay, it will be fun and wonderful!!

You can get a two-bedroom at a deluxe resort for less than two rooms at a moderate, if you rent the points from a DVC member. Also, you will have a full kitchen to make breakfast and sandwiches for the park, which will save you tons. You can get a two bedroom for 5 nights for as little as $1200, if you pick Sunday-Thursday.:thumbsup2

I was going to say this as well. You will be more comfortable as they are very spacious and get all the wonderful amenities of a deluxe hotel
