We will be at WDW from November 22nd - 29th, 2008.:cheer2: Does anyone know how the crowds are this time of the year??? Where do you eat Thanksgiving dinner? I am thinking about Liberty Tree Tavern??

We're going 11/21-11/28.
You can get a turkey dinner anywhere, I'm not a big fan of LTT and no way would I go to MK on Thanksgiving day. We usually pull the plug on the parks Wed. pm. This will be our 3rd Thanksgiving, as we are use to going to Cedar Point in the summer I don't think the crowds are bad. I've been to AK on Thanksgiving and it was much more crowded on Sunday of MLK weekend.
Last year we ate Thanksgiving dinner at HOB and did the Cirque show.

Going to DVC? Yes! WDW? No, we'll be at HHI again. I think we're kind of hooked-last year, before we went, we were sure we wouldn't be able to return this year, too much else planned. And we were OK with that-until we got there. Then near the end of our trip, DH said "Do you think we could rearrange some vacation plans so that we can come back next year?" So Signe's, here we come!

How was HHI at that time of year? I really want to go, and it seems as if it's a really hard ressie to get in the summer. We have tentative plans to go to WDW that week, but I haven't booked my room yet. Is the weather OK?
To the OP, I'm in the process of booking a ressie for Nov. Either Thanksgiving week, or a couple of weeks before.

Howdy,
We have our next trip home to SSR reserved for the exact same dates!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Going to be 11 of us total... Wife and I with our 3 boys along with my sister and her family:cool1:.
Really looking forward to our trip as it will be their first trip to WDW and I can't wait to see our 3 boys playing WDW "tour guides" for their cousins:)

Yep! Us too!!! 11/22-11/29 - Our first DVC Thanksgiving trip and we are taking my parents! Can't wait! I expect higher crowds Wednesday through Saturday. We are thinking of Ohanas for Thanksgiving dinner since it means "Family"!

The weather at that time of year is really variable. One year we went and it was literally freezing on Thanksgiving morning. Brrr! This past year, it was lovely-weather in the low 70s and upper 60s. It probably wasn't warm enough to swim, though. The two times we've gone, the resort has always been full for Thanksgiving, and it's hard to get ressies at 7 months, at least for a studio or 1 BR, don't know about a 2 BR.

Thanks! Maybe we'll try for early November if I can't get a BWV room during Thanksgiving week.

We were there this past Thanksgiving and had Thanksgiving Dinner at Tusker House - it was really really good! They had all their usual things plus a carving station with turkey and sweet potatoes, etc. The crowds were moderate to heavy(at times) through the weekend, but then it thinned out by Monday evening. Have a great trip!
we'll be there 11/23-11/29. I'm not trying to rush through 2008 but i wish it was here already :)

We'll hopefully be at BCV 11/22-28, except current airfare from the West Coast is $900/pp x 4. I don't have $3600 to spend on airfare  , so I am hoping for a sale soon.
This will be our 3rd Thanksgiving at WDW, if we can get there!

We're in. We've booked SSR for 11/24 to 11/29. We hope to switch to VWL in April. Keeping our fingers crossed. Every year they have a college b-ball tourney that week at the sports complex at WDW. Our home town team is playing so we're gonna catch some games. This will be our first trip with family outside the wife and kids as my parents are going. They are staying in a standard room at WL. Mom's been wanting to go to WDW with the grandkids ever since we bought DVC. Could be a built in babysitter!

We'll be there at SSR in a 2BR 11/23 - 11/28. Taking my parents so they can see their grandsons enjoy Disney.
Might try to switch for something that takes less points as it gets closer.:goodvibes

Don't know where we will end up, but we will be there. Don't know about Thanksgiving dinner - have some time for that, but ressies will be made faaarrrr in advance!!

Not yet! It's 180 days, so the end of May. Gotta get the list going! Had no problem last year getting what we wanted(but we didn't do any character meals and went with DTD rest. on Wed and Turkey day).
