A Fun Pre-Oscar Day

Hi All,

Yesterday, I had a lot of fun doing something I have ALWAYS wanted to do and shared with some of you in game who asked to see pictures, so I thought I would share with everyone in case others are interested.

I am an Academy Awards junkie. I love them. I always watch them, the pre-show, the after shows, anything related to them. I am enjoying pre-award coverage as I type this.

I have ALWAYS wanted to attend the Oscars and have never been lucky enough to win the red carpet bleachers seats lottery. I have worked for many years in event planning and am fascinated with the Oscars from the perspective as well.

Yesterday, I did something Oscar-related that I have always wanted to do and never done. My husband and I went to the site of the Academy Awards and got to see all the pre-award red carpet set-up. It was a LOT of fun and a day I will always remember.

In addition to other things that we did at the Oscar exhibit, I got to hold an actual Academy Award. That was very cool, I have to admit.

That is awesome. I think the closest I will ever come anything like that is the Cars movie premiere. Charlotte, NC is pretty average but we do have a great race track. :rolleyes2

I hope you make it into those bleachers one day. :goodvibes

I live too far from Cali. But, I was able to take a trip out there once. I remember seeing the famous Hollywood sign, and of course Mann's Chinese Theater (which I think it is no longer called that).

I can only imagine what it was like for you to see all the Pre-Oscars prep. What an experience. I hope you make it into the bleachers one day soon too!
