A friend has asked me to make a photo/memory DVD for her parent's 50th anniversary. She wants me to charge her for it. I have Adobe Premiere Elements (which I have used once), so I think I can pull it off, but I have no idea what to charge her for it. I would have to do some scanning since the photos will go back 50+ years. Any advice or suggestions?

a year ago a friend asked me to scan her wedding photos and put them on disk, {she had a release from the photographer..the wedding was over 10 years ago and he no longer had the negatives}

she said she wanted to pay me a fair price, I had no clue what to charge, so I searched the web for answers and found this site.. after checking out their pricing calculator I at least had a general idea of where to start with a price...

Do you have a decent scanner and much much room on the computer for the files? Scan files seem to be very big compared to digi pic files. At least for me, not sure why.

How soon must it be completed? that is also a price factor.

I do have a decent scanner and plenty of room for the files. I also have about 10 months to get the job done...so no hurry.

Thanks for the link, Mickey88. I"ll check it out.
