Does anybody have any idea what batter mix they use at Trail's End for the Mickey Waffles? I've seen the picture here of the chef preparing them but can't quite read the label. It may be a Disney exclusive or may be something we can find at the grocery store.

Every time I have had great waffles I am always told the secret is White Lilly flour. If you can't get Mickey's mix try that........ Mrs. Goofy

I'm not sure what type of mix they use, but the best waffle mix (by far) is Carbon's golden malted mix. This is the mix used in many fine restaurants and hotels. We use this mix to make waffles on the weekend and they are absolutely the fabulous.

You can also buy this from amazon.

Thanks for the input so far, everyone.

I found this recipe, but it doesn't state what type of flour.
Mickey Waffles
4 eggs, separated
1 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
2 cups flour
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
Beat egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until light. Add cooled melted butter, milk and vanilla extract. Add flour, baking powder & salt, beat well. Beat egg whites until stiff and gently fold into batter. Bake and serve.
For perfect Mickey waffles use the Mickey waffle maker.
