disneyinternationalprograms.com is the official site.
I think the world showcase jobs are under "cultural representative". When you go to the main page, you can click on the map and it will bring up the options you have (if you have any).

Thank you! Yes I handed it in last year in September, but they lost it :sad2: So I missed the Oct/Nov interviews. So my interview is now next week instead and I'm nervous! If you hand in your cv now I'm guessing your interview will be around October. :)

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this, but I have just noticed your messages about the international program. I did the international program and was a cultural rep in EPCOT in 2000/2001. All I can say is it was the best time in my life and I would definitely say go for it. The international programs website mentioned above is definitely one of the best places to start and if you've already got an interview lined up you're already on your way! When I first applied they lost my application too but keep on it and they'll know you're serious.
If you want to know what the interviews are like or how it all works out there give me a shout. But good luck to both of you!

Hi, Hogwartsdopout, Good to hear from you; I got your private message but unfortunately I don't have enough posts to reply to it yet. I hope the interview went well. At my interview there was about the same amount of people as yours and they do have other interviews around the country too. They will take about 30 people a year and they'll let you know by phone if you've got a place, or at least they did with me, I think it was about 10-14 days before they let me know. I interviewed Feb/March like you and went out in the August of the same year, so there wasn't much time to prepare and plan but it worked out just great.
I was assigned to merchandise and I have a bias towards that coming from Disney Stores myself too! But there was always a friendly rivalry between merchandise and food and beverage. Merchandise didn't earn as much money but I think that at times they had the better job.
All I can say is I will keep fingers crossed for you and you will have a blast, it was the happiest time of my life and you make friends for life.
I'm more than happy to go into more details just let me know once I get started I just can't stop even 8 years later!
Look forward to hearing from you soon
Kirsty

Hi again! Wow you worked in TDS too? That's great! I'm glad you're happy to talk about the program because I have so many questions!
I'm quite worried that only 30 people were put through. I know there is at least 40 people being interviewed, I just wish I knew how good a chance I have at being accepted. :confused3
I have chosen Merchandise as my first choice as I have no experience in food/beverage. Does merchandise include the little carts outside the shops? Or is that food/beverage? I'm really worried about getting too hot, and that's pretty inevitable if you're working at one of those carts! Do they let you drink water?
Also, where did you stay? And what was it like? They told us it was The Commons. I'm not really a party person and I don't drink (I'm over 21 though), I'm just hoping that I'll fit in :)
Thanks so much for replying, hope to hear from you soon. PM me when you have enough posts! :)

Hey everyone, I'm thinking of applying to do the International Program next summer (summer '09) and I just have one or two questions I hope someone can answer :) .
I'm from Scotland, so my home country is the UK. This has no attractions in it, but it is like my absolute biggest wish to work on attractions if I go to WDW to work. Am I only able to work in the UK part of Epcot or can I work anywhere on site?
I ask because I did see some Scottish people working in various places eg. I met someone loading on POTC and the host at Cali Grill was from Aberdeen.
Thanks very much :)

Hi!
There are 2 programs for us Brits. If you did want to work in the UK pavilion at Epcot it would be the Cultural Representative Program.
But if you'd prefer to be placed in any of the 4 parks, or a resort, or Downtown Disney, I'd advise that you do the International College Program. Unfortunately I think you can only do this program if you are at university.
I believe there may also be some sort of graduate program as well.
If you look at the website posted earlier in this post, it should have all the details! I'd also advise you to visit www.yummyjobs.com as those are the people that you would send your application to.
Good luck! :)

I won't be wanting to work at the UK pavilion and am at Uni so the other otpionn is fine for me :). My absolute dream is to work on POTC. I realise that'll now be a common wish but I've adored the rides since my first trip to DLP many years ago so I'd really be hoping for a post there if I got accepted.
Saying that, Star Tours or Muppets would be another great place :). Anyway I'm rambling, thanks for the info!

I hope all goes well with the application, I don't think they had the International College Program when I did my program, but it sounds like great fun, if I were you though I wouldn't rule out EPCOT you still get to do lots of fun things including the parade controls and although there is no ride there are plenty of attractions in the form of the shows, the British Invasion and character appearances, you could maybe list it as second choice to give you the highest possible chance of getting in!
Good Luck

I've wanted to apply for this for a while now, but I don't know how to properly word my e-mail so I don't sound stupid! haha, I'm 20 and in Canada, can someone help me out? (I'm fine with everything else ... just don't want my e-mail to look lame).

Just send in your CV to yummyjobs, I believe they are in charge of the Canadian international CMs too, and put in a cover letter. In the cover letter, just say which program you'd like to apply for, when, and how much you love Disney! A nice touch is also to apply a little Mickey head maybe on the corner of the cover letter or cv. Good luck!
