well I figured I'd put a ticker down so I can keep track of how many days out we are in case we decide to cancel...... we have to cancel 31 days out or we'd get penalized

GS camping was good. VERY hot, and of course th girls didn't sleep so the Moms didn't sleep. And they were up very early in the morning ready to start the day.

Went to visit my MIL today in the hospital. The Dr. was in there talking to her about surgery options and what they should expect from each option.

I guess there is some kind of mass behind her Pancreas. But they are still not sure if it is a gallstone, liver problem or pancreas at this point. They are going to go in either tomorrow or the next day to explore. Right now her blood is too thin to do the surgery. And while we were there she was getting a pint of blood.

Yesterday they took 2 Liters of fluid out of her stomach and her legs are still swollen and full of fluid.

She doesn't look good and I think both her and my FIL are very scared.

Glad to hear that Mr. G is still on the road to recovery.

I am so freakin tired, and still need to start packing and getting my gear ready for Thursday night.

Hard to believe the 3-day is in 4 days. :faint:


Also heard that my SIL will be starting Radiation, Chemo and some kind of drug right away. I guess they were waiting for some test results to see if she could get away with just the medication but the results came back and they said she needs it all.

Well the girls fed them and filled there water things Friday before they left

he drank all his water so since I was the only one home

I am waiting up for DH to come back from hunting...the sun went down over 2 hours ago and they are still not home :furious: and his @#$!@# cell phone is either off or not working :furious: :furious:

We had a really nice time :goodvibes very relaxing and fun...I got a little too much sun, but we could have stayed another night. I thought the kids would be pooped after 3 days, but I guess since now they are older, they can go longer. On the last day it was almost 4 and they still didn't want to leave...mom and dad needed a nap by that time :rolleyes: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

He and his one brother were hunting that day but promised to be home by 6

well it gets dark and no DH

andhour goes by still no DH

at dusk (5:00) he shot a deer so they were tracking it

Something is wrong with my garage door and has been for a while. DH was supposed to fix it by now...but it STILL isn't working :furious: If he is alive and well, I am putting the total guilt trip on him tonight to either fix the door or hire someone that knows what he is doing :furious: I hate trying to get stuff fixed or anything related to cars...I don't know much about it and feel like I have sucker tatooed on my forehead :p

Well the girls fed them and filled there water things Friday before they left

We had a really nice time :goodvibes very relaxing and fun...I got a little too much sun, but we could have stayed another night. I thought the kids would be pooped after 3 days, but I guess since now they are older, they can go longer. I know-my SIL hasn't had much luck lately-but the radiation treatments are going OK,and she had a central IV line put in last week so we hope that will help with the chemo reactions!!!

And he is one hairy little boy!! Poor thing. I had him soak in the tub for almost an hour before I could coax him into pulling it off.

They just don't understand how we worry when we don't hear from them. ::yes:: and we live in a rural area and I hate being home alone at night (and I can't park in my garage since the door is broken and he promised me he would fix before he left so that if I needed to I could get the kids in the car without going outside)...plus DS was sad he couldn't go and kept asking for dad... and I had work today (and I have a ton of work too) plus the kids had their first day back from break...and even IF his phone didn't work, the two other guys have phones (didn't have their numbers so I couldn't call...tried looking, but the numbers are in DH's cell phone)...I was upset and worried and almost to the point of calling the emergency services to look for them (I was going to ask DFil for advice first) .... I just thought the whole thing was very selfish on his part :sad1: not to mention how good he has it with me...I cleaned up the house and did stuff he said he was going to do (but he had slept in), took care of the kids, did the bills, took food to his parents, took the kids to visit my family since DS was sad about not getting to go, fed the animals and I had made lunch for him and his friends "to go" AND dinner..and all the stuff they like...made homemade yeast bread, cookies, cupcakes, etc. .... man, he just blew it big time :sad2:

Came home, walked in the door, no one says hello, DH says the doctor's office just called and they need to reschedule Matthew's physical. They said to call tomorrow. They need to switch it from a Thursday to a Friday. DH says no big deal. Oh, okay, no big deal, I'll just need to take a day off work - which by the way DH we cannot afford right now. That's why I scheduled it for a Thursday when I made the appointment about three weeks ago! :furious: Or perhaps DH would like to take him to the doctor! Yeah, right! :lmao:

Then Matthew comes to me and says, "Oh, by the way, did dad tell you I found Minnie (the cat) dead in the yard!" I look at DH and he says, "Yeah, Matthew went to feed as soon as he got home from school and found her dead in the middle of the yard." So, stupid me asks, "And where is she now??" STILL THERE!!!

Okay, vent over. I'm not in the best mood in case you didn't notice. I'm going to go soak in the bathtub now! (And pity anyone that knocks on that door!)

Well, I certainly called this day right.

Terrible day at work, left there at 4:50, supposed to get off at 4:00! So what else is new.

Came home, walked in the door, no one says hello, DH says the doctor's office just called and they need to reschedule Matthew's physical. They said to call tomorrow. They need to switch it from a Thursday to a Friday. DH says no big deal. Oh, okay, no big deal, I'll just need to take a day off work - which by the way DH we cannot afford right now. That's why I scheduled it for a Thursday when I made the appointment about three weeks ago! :furious: Or perhaps DH would like to take him to the doctor! Yeah, right! :lmao:

Then Matthew comes to me and says, "Oh, by the way, did dad tell you I found Minnie (the cat) dead in the yard!" I look at DH and he says, "Yeah, Matthew went to feed as soon as he got home from school and found her dead in the middle of the yard." So, stupid me asks, "And where is she now??" STILL THERE!!!

Okay, vent over. I'm not in the best mood in case you didn't notice. I'm going to go soak in the bathtub now! (And pity anyone that knocks on that door!)

I got woken up by dh's alarm, that HE set. And then he has the nerve to poke me and say "Are you going to get that??" UGH!! So I get up and turn it off (this horrible beeping that I can't stand :headache: )

Then I start the day, empty dishwasher, start breakfast, make the kids lunches, start a load of laundry, etc.

And He doesn't get up for another 45 mins!!! :furious:

What a day.

The news that is coming in on my MIL is not good. They are supposed to do the surgery tomorrow but I think they already know what they are going to find. I honestly believe the Dr's think it is cancer of the pancreas. Which is not good. Hopefully they are wrong and we will know something more tomorrow.

On top of all of that going on I will be busy with the 3-day this weekend while DH is trying to deal with his family stuff. I know he is going to feel torn about where to be.

I am trying to get things in line for the 3-day, and I receive an e-mail from a friend that was supposed to come up and hit the cheering stations and take me back and forth to the hotel at night. Well she is now not able to come and do that. :guilty:

So all this time I was not prepared to stay at camp and I might end up there which means I need to scramble and get all that stuff in order.

Kind of puts me in the dumps right now.
