I will figure something out or just stay at camp.

I got a nice phone call-looks like I get to go interview fro the job at the Children's ER,and it's the location/hospital closer to my home(a newer and cleaner one!)
most likely since I'm familiar with all the charting and systems at Children's already and will only need 2 days of orientation-not 5 I will be getting this job!!!!!!

Since my contract ends on Oct 26th and I haven't heard from any new job openings from them( the co I'm contracting with)-I was getting a bit worried
-This Lady(from Childrens) said she wants to get me interviewed next week and starting right after the weekend my contract ends-that will be a nice smooth transition and a nice long weekend for me to get organized!!! Maybe even head up to DSIL and help her out!!!
Man I can't wait to get going and into my real job-the benifits are great and they offer double time for extra shifts :Pinkbounc (not like my other job in WI that only offered time and a 1/4)
plus I need to take out the health and dental since DH only is currently working PT til a FT position opens up and his insurance costs a small fortune!!!

Kelli- I really think your DH wouldn't mind helping out,it might help get his mind off all the stuff going on with his Mom and you really need a good nights sleep and the emotional support he can give you :thumbsup2
I pray that those Dr are wrong and it's just a fatty growth/tumor that can be removed and she can get on to healing-this cancer stuff is the pits too :guilty:

plus I wamt to put out all the Halloween decorations since DFIL is coming to visit tomm-he's driving down from NC/GA Border(1 1/2 hrs away) to come see our new house-I pray traffic isn't too crazy for him-he's not use to all the city stuff
What a day.
The news that is coming in on my MIL is not good. They are supposed to do the surgery tomorrow but I think they already know what they are going to find. I honestly believe the Dr's think it is cancer of the pancreas. Which is not good. Hopefully they are wrong and we will know something more tomorrow.

Kind of puts me in the dumps right now. :guilty: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: oh no Kelli, I am so sorry. I met your in-laws and they seemed like really good-hearted people and very strong, independent and able. This must be so hard on everyone, I don't know what to say :worried:
I hope things go well with the walk...I am sorry your friend couldn't make it. I wish I could be there to help you...is your Mom around? will she be taking care of Ashli?

You know, we really need to work harder on our little gated LTP community so we can all be close to each other and be able to help each other out.

I go back to work on Thur am. 5am -9am.
Dh is going to see if his work will allow him to do 9:30-6 so that I can do 5-9 at my place during the week.
I sure don't like getting up at 4:15am, but it is nice that I can get the four hours at work w/o the kids and dh really noticing me being gone.....especially compared to working the 6-10pm shift.

It sure is nice that your mom is so close and can help out some.
dh's parents are talking like they want to move here, especially after what happened with G. They've talked about it lots before, but now they're acting like for real this time..... I told dh I'm not getting into it with them b/c I don't want them to feel pressured or to disappoint the kids...again.

Update on MIL
Last night DH came home and said that it doesn't look good no matter which way they go. They will not remove the mass due to her age and health. They are going to put in a stent to see if they can open up the path to remove the bile from her system.
The bile backing up in her body like it is now is just poisoning her system.

Man, this is a pain :earboy2: DS lost his first tooth on Thursday and the new tooth is already coming in and it looks like it is going to be huge. I have no idea where it would go :confused3 I told DH we should take him back to the dentist and see what they say...his last cleaning was during the summer..before the loose tooth...so I think we need to find out what they do...do the teeth grow in sideways and then get straightened or do them pull the little teeth out to make room :worried:
and I need to call to schedule all our flu shots...my kids HATE shots and so this will NOT be fun :scared:

They do look very huge coming in. I was worried about it but DD dentist seems to think everything will be okay. And she told us that she wouldn't even think about how to correct any problems until she was at least 8 years old. :confused3 Seemed strange to me.

those two front teeth look so HUGE compared to those sweet baby teeth.
You really don't want them to pull the baby teeth to make room b/c then all of the other teeth start to move around too much to fill the space you just made, but then the adult tooth that is waiting under that baby tooth has nowhere to go when it's ready to come in.
does that make sense??

Okay, never mind! :teeth: This post just answered my question!

Thank you everyone.
We went to visit with my MIL in the hospital tonight and took DD with us. DH wanted to make sure she got a chance to spend sometime with her. He regrets that when he was a kid he was not allowed to see his own Grandmother in her final days. And also we don't know what tomorrow will bring. We have always been very up front with DD about life and death especially with everything that has gone on with my Mom in the past.
My MIL look pretty good which seems strange to me. My FIL started right off the bat tonight with he doesn't feel the Dr's are doing what they should and that he thinks they are getting a bad deal. Well of course I had to set him straight. Drives me nuts. She is right there in bed and I don't care what the heck you feel you put on a front for her sake. So basically I told him with everything I have had to go thru with both of my Parents in and out of hospitals You have to put your faith in the hands of the Dr's. And in my heart I know they are going to do what is best for MIL no matter what it seems like to you and me.
I guess they are going to try the very last thing that they can. Tomorrow to my understanding they will go in thru the liver and try and do something - not sure what exactly but she will have to have some kind of bag on the outside of her body.
Maybe Kim can explain it better thant I can.
DH told me tonight that he talked with his Mom alone last night and she said she is okay with whatever happens and it is God's Will.
DH and I are holding strong but tonight was very hard for DD. She cried so hard it broke my heart. She loves her Grandmother so much and doesn't understand how she was fine in her eyes just last week. I can't stand to see her hurting.
I am so not ready for this.
Lyn as of now I am still planning to walk. We are going to play it by ear as things play out in the next couple of days. And for the most part I will not be more than 30 miles away from home during the walk. Close enough for someone to come and get me if needed.
I made a committment to walk and I am sure my MIL would want me to do it for my SIL and my Aunt.

Kelli-Sorry to hear this -I think the bag you mentioned is a bag to help drain the bile and they place a stint to do this thru the common bile duct-it's a duct that the liver, gallbadder and pancrease all drain into-My Dad had a huge blocked duct and it scared us all,we thought he was having a heart attack since the pain was so bad,it took the Dr's 3 weeks to be able to clear the blockage-and 3 surgies each time they tryed
wish it would be this way for your MIL,lets hope they have something else they can do for her and give her some relief-my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family-give Ash a big hug for all of us

All you that have those DVC points have you seen this:
"October 11, 2006, Lake Buena Vista, Fla. – Disney
Vacation Club announced today that it is building a new
timeshare resort on Walt Disney World® property to meet
ongoing strong demand for its unique vacation-ownership
program.
Disney's Animal Kingdom® Villas will be part of
Disney's Animal Kingdom® Lodge, which readers of Travel
& Leisure Family magazine recently honored with the No.
4 spot on their list of the 50 greatest family resorts
in the United States and Canada. The Disney Vacation
Club® accommodations will feature intricate
African-inspired details and home-like amenities, and
most will offer sweeping views of an expanded savannah
inhabited by a variety of African animals. These new
accommodations are scheduled for development in phases
with an anticipated opening beginning Fall 2007 and a
completion date planned for Spring 2009. The project's
first phase will include 134 remodeled accommodations
on the fifth and sixth floors of the existing Disney's
Animal Kingdom® Lodge building, and subsequent phases
will include the construction of 324 vacation homes in
a new building on the resort property, for a total of
458 Disney Vacation Club homes.
The project also calls for construction of a new
table-service restaurant, themed pool and water-play
island, fitness center, merchandise shop, sports and
recreation facilities and more.
"We continue to see strong demand from families who
want to build a lifetime of unforgettable memories by
vacationing in ways they never dreamed possible," said
Jim Lewis, President of Disney Vacation Club. "I am
delighted to announce that our members will have yet
another place to call home with Disney's Animal
Kingdom® Villas. This begins another exciting new era
for Disney Vacation Club as we continue to explore
future destination possibilities both domestically and
internationally."
Disney Vacation Club, now celebrating its milestone
15th anniversary, is an innovative timeshare program
that lets families enjoy flexibility and savings on
future vacations at Disney destinations and more than
500 other popular vacation sites around the world.
Since 2000, Disney Vacation Club membership has doubled
to include more than 300,000 individuals from over 100
countries and every U.S. state.
Disney's Animal Kingdom® Villas will be the eighth
Disney Vacation Club Resort, joining five others at the
Walt Disney World® Resort, one in Vero Beach, Fla., and
one in Hilton Head Island, S.C. Disney Vacation Club
has sold out of memberships at its first six resorts,
and sales remain ahead of schedule at its seventh
property, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, which
opened in May 2004 near the Downtown Disney area at the
Walt Disney World® Resort."
