When our kids took swimming lessons we weren't allowed to go in to the pool area to watch because they said it took the kids attention off the instructor. BUT - they did have a big window that we could sit and watch through and there was not one part of the pool that parents couldn't see from the window.

I can't imagine dropping off a child that young and not being able to watch!

It only takes one time, one touch, to screw up a child for life!

They re-test to make sure no hidden symptoms are there-or that the blood levels are still within the normal range-always trying to be careful-plus medicine isn't an exact science-we all react differently to all things

ITA...we just signed up DS for martial arts and DH sits there with him each day....even when we did soccer, I was so happy that all the parents stayed at the park, even if some weren't paying attention to their kids :rolleyes: . I got upset with my DSIL when she would let my nephew (5 at the time) just go to soccer practice by himself :guilty:

We live right on the outskirts of the school district Imean my neighbors go to a different school

SO when we first moved here they told me no bus
THat was NOT acceptable

Round 1 to me we got bussing
but they would only send the small special needs bus saying it was the only one that could turn around on my road
well they turn tractor trailers around at the corner but appeantly the bus couldn't handle it
so a continuous arguement
only because since my kids ride taht bus people at the schools were treating them as if tehy also had special needs like trying to force an aid on Jess

and the bus drivers were the worst if i really did have a child that NEEDED that bus i would have raised holy H***
If those student need help i don't know how they will get it but that is another issue

so about a month ago we get a letter
the bus ride is too long for the special needs kids (there words not mine)
so Erica will be changes to a reagular route

SO i ask about Jess
she is Harassed at school daily (kids can be cruel) because of the bus she rides they drop her off at a different door and she has to fight against the crowd to get out to her bus
today she came home with a black eye from fighting her way upstream

I call the bus garage
If one of the children with special needs was being harassed you would do anything you could to fix it so why are you allowing my daughter to be harassed

See, that is why I am thinking of signing DD up for jazz or hip-hop or something...the ballet place was the one that wouldn't let me in on the classes...more something else would be more fun anyway? :confused3

Where DD goes they won't start them on Hip-hop until they are around 6. I guess it has to do with the moves they do.

And DD's class when she first started didn't let us sit in either. They say it is easier to control the child when the parents are not around. But we could sit out and see thru a glass window.

The white one is the tuffest hamster around-she lost both her eyes(one at a time) to some weird thing-so she's blind,but very sweet-and our black and white one has diabeties-but so far so good. There names are Raspberry(she use to have red eyes) and Oreo-sorry Kayla, the kids just love them(so do I) and til we get a dog this will have to do :rotfl:

Made it back and forth with no incident today!!!
