Not bad. Had a very busy day so I'm really tired.

Neighbor of my good friend passed away and my friend invited the family back to her house after services to eat. I fixed potatoe salad and baked beans and deviled eggs and then went over to her house and set up while everyone was at the services.

:grouphug: I am so sorry. I was thinking of you last night...wishing I lived near ya! When DH was bathing the kids, DD was horsing around and slipped and hit the tub :guilty: Thankfully my DSIL was home so we dropped off DS with her and took DD to the ER. The doctor was really nice, 4 little stiches on the bottom of her chin. He said in 6 months you won't even be able to tell she had fallen. He also checked her chin bones / head ...the small cut was her only injury. Thank goodness she was o.k....but poor little girl had to be strapped down and given stiches :sad: :sad: :sad:

We made chocolate chip muffins for breakfast and she is eating those now with a banana.... :sunny:

Last night we were at the MK riding the train getting ready to head over to Ft. Wilderness for HDDR. The parade is going on so we work our way thru the crowd and make our way down main street and out to the boats. I ask my Niece to put something in her bag for me and she realizes that she lost her DIAMOND RING in the last 15 minutes. :faint: :eek:

She is pregnant and her fingers were swollen so she stuck her rings on her pinky finger. Well I guess the swelling went down and she didn't realize it. :sad2:

OMG! I couldn't believe it. She was so upset and crying. Her DH was like "hey it is no big deal" It is just a ring. :love: He was so sweet but I could tell she was still heartbroken. Well we get to Ft. Wilderness and I run to the GS locations and talk to a them. They radio back to the MK and put out the alert. In the meantime she is like nobody is going to turn in a ring worth $5,000. It is gone I will never see it again. Her DH just keeps telling her it is not big deal and he will just get her another and he can ask her to marry him again.

Well they come in during dinner and tell us that nothing was found. But to keep checking back. I felt so bad for her. :worried: :(

Fast - forward to this morning. They get up early and head over to the MK to look around for themselves. They didn't find anything. :(

So they stop by lost and found on their way out just to check with them. SOMEONE TURNED THE RING IN!!!! :woohoo: :cheer2: :thumbsup2 She called us so happy. :cloud9:

We kept telling her if she had to loose, DISNEY was the best place because the people are GREAT!! And they Return things that don't belong to them. ::yes::


How wonderful! It makes you realize that there are still honest, decent people out there! I'm so glad it worked out for her.

Okay for those that asked (Jake and Liz)

here is the story

Ercia was 3 her and Jess(5) were playing in the playroom
I was doing dishes

Jess came out and calmly said Mom Erica is eating glass

I thought she was kidding

she say NO MOM I MEAN IT

so I turn around and there is Erica with one of those little nite light size bulbs half eaten in her mouth


I FREAK

Jess calls my parents as I am trying to carefully remove the glass from Erica's
mouth

got all the pieces out and put them together and they ER figures she ate about 1/ the bulb
and the only medical issue

a small cut on her upper Gum which i did removing some glass

so she gets a few minutes when she picks her up

They had broken in to the 11 o'clock news last night and said that there was a situation in our county and several departments were responding and they would have the full story in the morning. I knew it had to be big because we don't have a local news channel, this was out of TN. We only get stations from TN and Charlotte.

So I just had to wait.

Counseling will be available but knowing him he won't want it. All he'll want is to come home and be with his family. That's the way he is. We've been through it before.

The other deputy went to a call and was shot from someone inside a mobile home as he was getting out of his car. He was shot in the side and the arm. He called for help and DH was next on the scene. The man holed up in his mobile home and they exchanged fire. From what I got from the news the standoff lasted almost three hours but I haven't heard that from DH. They had the Sheriff's Office, Boone (city) Police and SBI that responded.

Isn't it strange the way we do things like that. I get feeling like that too, especially with certain people. There is a friend of ours that lives down in FL and whenever something is wrong down there I know and I'll call and she'll say, "you just knew, didn't you." And she does the same with us. She's actually older than us, she was a friend of my mom's.

DH is home, he is okay. I met him in the doorway and hugged him and we both just stood there hugging and crying. He spent an hour and a half laying in a creek bed getting shot at, he said he heard one shot go right past his right ear! He'll probably have pneumonia from being all wet and muddy in that cold air but if that's the worst of it then so be it.

He's gone to bed already, he was exhausted, so I don't know if I'll come home early today or not. He knows to call me if he gets up!

I think I'll probably have a roller-coaster day as far as emotions go. He even admitted that he knows it's just as hard, or harder, on me than on him!

They did not have the one that you described to me. They had a purple one with Tink sitting cross leg and it says something like I always look this beautiful in the morning. Than it pointed out things like NO bedhead and Bright Smile. Plus they are One Size fits all.
