If Our Hospital(my Unit that is) would use them Great!!!-We have allowed one dog into our unit-The Cancer floor does it more often-we had a kid dying of cancer and couldn't get out of the unit,so they let his family bring in there dog(it was a lap dog)-It made his day!!!!

Good to know. I'm thinking of trying to work with the cancer kids more anyway. I'm also hoping to work with the Sheriff's Office if they were to need a dog during an interview to help take some kid's mind off what they were trying to get out of them.

i woke up really, really late today cuz i like went to bed at like 5 which probably wasn't the smartest idea cuz today i wanna stay up all night and stuff so i am not really exhausted, just moderately tired...

I did that yesterday-I found out that our insurance cancelled out on the 19th of December(car and house) so thankfully I got it reinstated

I had called prior to leaving -since this is a new policy-and asked if I could pay it on the 30th-Oh,no problem!!! Thank th Lord we didn't get into any accidents while we were gone :earseek:

They try and send some home-but in my unit,the only place you go from here is up to the floor(to a medical unit) or to the morgue(sad but true) we rarely get to send patients home straight from the ICU-it happens,but it's rare

My little guy got to do that-he went straight home with home care-that's cause he was here for over 3 months

They try and send some home-but in my unit,the only place you go from here is up to the floor(to a medical unit) or to the morgue(sad but true) we rarely get to send patients home straight from the ICU-it happens,but it's rare

My little guy got to do that-he went straight home with home care-that's cause he was here for over 3 months
WOW! That's a long time!! I hate when I would have to deliver to the icu, or to the pedi floor. It always made me cry when I would have to deliver to icu and it was a kid.

I did that yesterday-I found out that our insurance cancelled out on the 19th of December(car and house) so thankfully I got it reinstated

I had called prior to leaving -since this is a new policy-and asked if I could pay it on the 30th-Oh,no problem!!! Thank th Lord we didn't get into any accidents while we were gone :earseek:

My one DS (now 13) was lucky enough to get to go home straight from neonatal icu. He was at our hospital for two day and only in icu for three days and then got discharged from icu to home. :goodvibes
