It was soooo good!! They called me into a meeting b/c they wanted to tell me personaly that they had hired a new person for the postion I applied for!

So I was sitting there with this stupid grin on my face just listening, and she's telling me that even though I didn't get this promotion that I still have a future with the company

& that they were really sorry, but they had to give it to someone who had more qualifications than I did. So I just sat there and listend to what they were saying, when she was done I said, "I completely understand!" "If someone who applied has more qualifications than I do then they deserve the position more than I do." "But I had a feeling this was going to happen, so I came into work today prep ared to give you my 2 weeks notice!" & I just handed it to her!!!

Then I told her "I completly respect your decision, but I have to work for a company that I can have a future with, and this is obviously not it" & I walked out of the office!!!!!

Neither of them really said much after that! I think they were both in shock b/c they never thought I would do it!!

That wasn't a curse. Believe it or not, I was serious. (I know, it doesn't happen too often!) But that storm's got so much moisture in it that it could really cause a mess if it turns to snow!

Our fire department Christmas party is today so I gotta go down to the fire department later and put some finishing touches on the decorations and decorate the tables and make up some gift bags for the kids. It's being catered so at least no cooking!

My mom goes to Montour Falls the fire academy alot
she was just there for the womens weekend

WOW!!! 10 Days til Disney-I even started getting clothes together last night-sorted thru our winter stuff and fall and summer stuff-I don't plan on packing a lot of shorts though,and kids are wearing them 2-3x's week for Basketball-so I'll be doing wash all day Tuesday-fun fun!!!!

Yep that is correct. I remember them putting shoes out in Kindergarten and St. Nick came to visit. I totally forgot about it.

DD kindergarten class learned about ALL the different cultures of the holidays. I can't believe I forgot about it.

It's a Western European(German) Holiday-and since my Mom is a German Immigrant and my Dad was raised in Germany since age of 2 we always celebrated it-Most of the families here do to-we have a strong German Heritage in this area :flower:

I am having a hard time figureing out what to get the girls

i got them each an MP3 player
some DVD's
A few games they wanted (board games)
and a make your own blanket craft kit

but we really need to go do some more serious shopping
they are jsut at a hard age this year

My eyes must have gotten huge. :earseek: So Santa looks at me and say Well honey Santa can't bring live animals for christmas because they would upset the ELfs. And the reindeer wouldn't like it very much. So what else can Santa bring you. She said okay. How about a Barbie B-Laptop. YIKES!! Now off I go to find one of these. :rolleyes:

they used to belive FIL WAS SANTA and when he died christmas took a real hard blow around here
but this year things seem better
it will be our third Christmas without him he died in Nov 03 so that year was really hard

DD knows that the Mall Santa's are just helpers for the REAL Santa. I think she believes that the Epcot Santa is the REAL Santa. He looks good.
