except a real quick local weekend trip

DH works most weekends and while yes he can use vacation time
they are real stingy about it in the summer cause it is SO BUSY and
August is NUTS around here due to the horse races

I know he already has one weekend spoken for in the summer but that is when we are taking the kids to Hershey park with BIL

Sounds like your really upset about the prospect of having to stay home :flower: -A snow day for 2 days :earseek: -we don't get snow days too often-unless the snow hits around 4am-and last thru rush hour-then we usually get a 2hr delay and then off they go :confused3 But this is Wisconsin-we're use to getting lots of the white stuff :rolleyes:

We do get a lot of snow days. The snow isn't the problem so much as the mountain roads. The buses just can't run on these mountain roads with the snow.

:earseek: Called DH this AM and he asks me if I turned the thermostat down-NO!!!! we keep it at 65(which is already chilly) but says it was all the way down too 50 degrees!!!! :earseek: Glad I didn't wake up to that-and thankful no one knocked it all the way up to 80-90 degrees :rolleyes:

:earseek: Called DH this AM and he asks me if I turned the thermostat down-NO!!!! we keep it at 65(which is already chilly) but says it was all the way down too 50 degrees!!!! :earseek: Glad I didn't wake up to that-and thankful no one knocked it all the way up to 80-90 degrees :rolleyes:

we keep ours at about 60-62 and run a kerosone heater for a bit before bed and in the AM

our furnace doesn't run much at all during the day
only at night
which sure helps on the heating bill

the kids just have to put theirs away when they get home

Yes! As much as I like snow I can only imagine if all of this rain had been snow. We'd have about two feet by now. It is supposed to change over to snow this afternoon, though. And right now they're still calling for 4-7 inches tonight.
