Hello and so long :wave2: The preschool called and DD was throwing up :guilty: I know the bug was going around so maybe it found her :confused3 So, now I am washing yucky things and after I eat lunch I will try and finish up my housework while the kids rest.....hopefully I can get done early, finish up some Christmas presents and get out the decorations :sunny: This is the closest to Christmas we have ever been without a tree up :rotfl: I am a little sad though, I missed the Christmas lunch at work :guilty: the school called right before we were leaving to go....but, at least they called me in time and my boss didn't care that I left :cool1:

We went to put a little christmas tree on my Dad's Grave Site. And picked up a gift card at the mall down there. THAT place was CRAZY. And on the way home I started not feeling good. I think it was something that I ate at the food court. :crazy2:

Oh, Lyn ~ I'm so sorry your DD is sick. Why do kids always pick the holidays to pick up these viruses??? Hopefully she'll get over it quickly and won't "share" with anyone else in the house. (Our family always "shares" those things a little too much.)

Good Morning!

Kayla ~ You've had a long enough turn at being last. It's my turn now!

We could use a lot of thoughts and prayers around here....

Yesterday I posted that my friends DD had broken her ankle walking on ice. They did surgery yesterday afternoon and inserted a plate and nine screws into her ankle. She's doing as well as can be expected but she is not allowed to put any pressure on her left foot for at least six weeks. I worry more about my friend than about her DD 'cause her DD is very spoiled and will run her mom ragged waiting on her.

This morning my friend (same one as above) called me very early. (We have a 9 o'clock rule and we don't call each other before nine unless it's really necessary.) Her first words were, "Sorry but I really needed to break the 9 o'clock rule! She had spent the night at the hospital with her DD. Everyone at the hospital knows my friend because she has a large family and because she herself has had cancer and been in and out of the hospital. One of the ER nurses had come up to her DDs room, knowing she was staying with DD, to let her know that her DF was being brought in by ambulance. They have determined he has congestive heart failure. I'm now waiting to hear more.

And the boy in DSs class was told yesterday what the form of cancer that he has is called. They have been waiting for almost ten days to find out the form, prognosis and treatment. He will be having surgery Tuesday and will be in the hospital until Saturday. Hopefully he will get to come home Saturday or Sunday and then will be back in the hospital Monday (the 26th) for his first round of chemo. He will have chemo every three weeks for six to nine months. He is only 13! DS is very worried about his friend but I don't think he's comprehending all of it.

And nothing has changed with "Grandpa." We are planning to go to PA to see him on the 28th. DD has taken time off both of her jobs to meet us up there. It will be a very short trip but we feel we need to get up there to see him.

So all thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated.

I did 9 loads of laundry yesturday afternoon :earseek: That might be a new record for me....I am sure I have done 9 in a weekend, but not in one afternoon. I had my DD on the couch on a thick towel and when DH put up our tree she was so excited and went near the tree. Then got sick on my clean clothes I needed to fold and herself.....so that brought me load count from 8 to 9 :rotfl2: I should be folding the rest of the clothes, but I rather be here :teeth:

I love to wrap gifts, in fact my godmother always comes to pick me up so I can help her wrap her gifts. I don't mind helping her b/c she has 6 kids and 3 grandkids to wrap gifts for, so she'd be at it for hours if she didn't have help. as it is it will take up about an hour and a half to get them all done

She is a lemon beagle, we have had her for about 4 years. The father is my blue heeler, but he has been missing for a while :( We weren't trying to have puppies, we had them separate by a fence....but I am really excited, especially since it is Christmas :)

ME TOO!!!!! Especially since we talk different here...When I lived in the midwest, at first people had a hard time with my accent (or I guess I had the hard time) and I learned to speak two different ways back then...but that was years ago and while I speak with less slang than most people around here (especially at times at work with people from the mainland), it is still there. :teeth:

We had a very nice day.

We went to the hospital first and saw my friend and her daughter. The boys have grown up knowing her daughter and I'm glad they went to see her. They had never been to visit anyone in the hospital before. They showed us the xrays of her ankle and UGH! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: One DS and I were just standing there hoping breakfast didn't come up! It was shattered!

Then we went shopping and all the boys wanted to do was to pick out stuff for other people. They didn't want to look for anything for themselves. :love: They really had fun and really got into choosing just the right gift for each person.

Then we went to McD's for lunch. Then we picked up some lunch for my friend and went back to the hospital. We had picked out a pair of sleep pants for her DD that had wide legs so that she could get them over her ankle. She was so happy and they fit perfectly.

We went to that country music place I had told you guys about before. Towards the end of the show they asked for a volunteer from the audience to help with a song. A.J. volunteered, along with a few younger kids, and he got to go up on stage and sing! And DH and I were shocked that he really did sing, he didn't get all shy! They sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bells!!! That's all he talked about all the way home.

All A.J. has been wanting to "be" for the past two years or so is a country singer. That's why he wanted a guitar for his birthday. And to be up there on the stage with all those bright lights on him and his "friends" playing back-up for him....IT WAS JUST SO AWESOME FOR HIM!

I was riding bikes with a friend of mine, we were on our way to her grandma's house so we could go pass out candy, (and maybe do alittle trick or treating :rotfl: )

yeah, sometimes I still have problems with it! the joint was crushed so I had to have surgery to fix it, and they had to put a pin in it, b/c some of the bone was so crushed the dr said it was like powder. When it gets cold it starts to hurt, a few years ago it was hurting soooo bad the dr said I might have to have surgery on it again, but I didn't want to do it

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone hurting their elbow that bad where it didn't give them trouble the rest of their lives.
