Just got off the phone with a close family friend of ours in PA and . Boys call them Nana and Grandpa. "Grandpa" is in the hospital and was just diagnosed yesterday with a brain tumor. They are going to be operating next Wednesday. The tumor is right near the lobe for speech. They don't know if it's cancerous. OMG! I feel like I've been hit by a train! Nana was my mom's foster sister when she was growing up and she's about 10 years younger than my mom was. Nana and Grandpa are the closest thing we have to real family. Nana needs someone to be with her Wednesday and I guess I need to try to figure out if I can go. It's about a 10-12 hour drive from here. I could use some hugs!

That's so cute! What did they get him? My moms b-day was the 17th but she ruined her gift for herself. She collects fairies so I bought her one. Well a few days b4 her bb-day she tells me, "if anyone ask what I want for my b-day or for X-mas tell them I don't want Fairies anymore!" I got this dumb look on my face & had to just give her her gift early. I hd to go out and buy her something else later

Look I found the instructions again!

1} Ok, first go to www.wtv-zone.com/Briggy/glitters/glitters.html pick a glitter then right click it, click on "Save picture as" and save it to your computer. Make sure it is saved as a .GIF

2}Now go to www.flamingtext.com/fonts . Pick a font, any font you like. Click on the font of choice, a new window should come up. Beside "Select Style" make sure you choose "PLAIN". Now beside "TEXT" type what name you want. Beside "Font Size" either choose 40 or 50. Now click on "All Options". You will be taken to another page. Scroll down to the bottom, and click on "Transparent". Leave the other check mark by Antialiasing. Click on "Create Logo". Wait a few seconds and another page will come up with your logo on the top. Right click on that, choose "Save pictures as" and save to hard drive as a .GIF

3}Ok, go to www.magickstudio.com and follow these instructions carefully. Click browse and find the text {your name or phrase} that you just saved onto your hard drive. Click on "View". Your text will show up on the next page. Now go to the top of that page and click on "Composite". Click on "Browse" and find the glitter that you saved to your hard drive. Change "Gravity" to "center" and "Compose" should be switched to "In". Then check the box that says "Tile across and down the image canvas". Then click "Composite". Wait for it to load then go to "Output" that is at the top of the page. Select "gif", then click "output" on the bottom. Ta dah! That is what it will look like. Right click on your name or phrase and save.
4}Now go to your favorite picture hosting on the internet {I use photobucket} and up load it on to that like you would a regular picture. Same goes for putting it in your sig. It goes in just like a picture does.

Hi everyone! Heading to bed - yes, already! :rotfl: Just couldn't let the day go by without saying hello!

Our Thanksgiving was great, probably one of the best ever. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Dinner conversation (and jokes) centered around our DD(20) driving home from college for the day with her dead hamster in a box on the front seat next to her. She was bringing it home so that it could be buried in the "family plot" along with all of our other animals from over the past years! At about 9 p.m. she decided it was time to bury "SPAZ." No one had the heart all day to tell her the ground was frozen. So here she was, trying to dig a hole in the yard, it was 20 degrees out and we were having 40 mph winds! And her brothers went out on the deck, in the dark, and played "Amazing Grace" on their trumpets. One of my managers from work was there and I don't think I have ever seen him laugh that hard! We love our animals but....

DD had called me the night before (at about 1 a.m.) to tell me that SPAZ was dying. She was so upset. But I told her hamsters usually live two or three years and she'd only had SPAZ for about a year so I doubted she was dying unless she had gotten sick from something. Well, DD starts crying and said that's what she thought, too, but when she mentioned it to her boyfriend he confessed that it was a "used" hamster when he had bought it for her! He bought her a used hamster and never told her someone else had owned it! And DD can't understand why we don't like this guy?? :rotfl:

I went to work today and the all the employees were humming "Amazing Grace" all during the day.

Hi everyone! Heading to bed - yes, already! :rotfl: Just couldn't let the day go by without saying hello!

Our Thanksgiving was great, probably one of the best ever. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Dinner conversation (and jokes) centered around our DD(20) driving home from college for the day with her dead hamster in a box on the front seat next to her. She was bringing it home so that it could be buried in the "family plot" along with all of our other animals from over the past years! At about 9 p.m. she decided it was time to bury "SPAZ." No one had the heart all day to tell her the ground was frozen. So here she was, trying to dig a hole in the yard, it was 20 degrees out and we were having 40 mph winds! And her brothers went out on the deck, in the dark, and played "Amazing Grace" on their trumpets. One of my managers from work was there and I don't think I have ever seen him laugh that hard! We love our animals but....

DD had called me the night before (at about 1 a.m.) to tell me that SPAZ was dying. She was so upset. But I told her hamsters usually live two or three years and she'd only had SPAZ for about a year so I doubted she was dying unless she had gotten sick from something. Well, DD starts crying and said that's what she thought, too, but when she mentioned it to her boyfriend he confessed that it was a "used" hamster when he had bought it for her! He bought her a used hamster and never told her someone else had owned it! And DD can't understand why we don't like this guy?? :rotfl:

I went to work today and the all the employees were humming "Amazing Grace" all during the day.
