Pretty good! It's been really busy at work lately. It will be even busier in the days to come b/c all my christmas plants are coming in for the next 3 weeks!!

I didn't get a chance to tell you that A.J. got to play a scrimage basketball game during the halftime at the high school game Wednesday night. He was so excited but I was a little nervous. It's the first time he's done something like that since he started high school.

There were 13 Special Olympians, 5 were high school students and the rest were older. They played 5 on 5. When they first went out the announcer called each one by name and they went from the bleachers out onto the court! And the announcer gave time for applause for each one. I really expected the high school students to show little interest or to be getting up getting drinks, etc. But they were so great and showed so much interest. They clapped for each of the team members. But when the announcer called A.J.'s name they all clapped and hollared and a bunch of the "jocks" that were sitting down in the first row stood up and yelled for him! (He was the only one they did this for!) He waved at them as though they were all great friends! He was just so proud!

It was just such a great experience. And you know what - I don't even know who won! I think the other team won but no one cared!

It's bitter cold here tonight. We're supposed to have sleet in the morning. I don't mind that if I'm all bundled up in the house and the whole family is home but DH is on night shift and I really worry when he has to be out in bad weather.

I still think Gatlinburg (TN) or Pigeon Forge (TN) would be great. Lots of outlet shopping, hotels and chalets!!! It's about three hours west of me, it would be a straight drive up interstate 75 for Kelli!! (And I'm not purposely leaving anyone else out!!! :rotfl: )

Actually I'm at Disney 16-22nd-Our vacation starts the 13th with 2 days in NC and then we go to Disney-on our return day(22) we are flying in oldest DS to Atlanta,picking him up and then going back to NC for Christmas til the 28th when we all drive back together :cheer2: I can't believe it's less than 2 weeks away!!!!

Since I work the weekends it will be tough-worse is that fact that we will be starting to box up the house for the move in June-we want the house to be clutter free so we are renting a mini-storage area and placing misc items we don't need to get the house in tip top shape for showing!!! My kids will be thrilled!!! All their toys-well most of them, are the first to go!!!! :rotfl:


My DH works every other weekend and I have to work all my stuff around him. :guilty: This isn't going to be that easy to plan.

Kim - If he ever has the least bit of motion sickness don't let him on this. I literally thought I was going to die when I got off this and I don't usually have any motion sickness problems. I had to go back to the hotel and ended up sick the whole night!

He and another deputy were first on the scene to a house fire and they went into the house without any protective gear and rescued the residents! They got a man and a woman, both in their 70's, out of the house. I'm very proud of him! He just shakes it off - it's his job he says!
