That's the way our DD is. Only difference between her and you, though, is that we did find out. With DH being a sheriffs deputy he know everyone in the county. Someone always told us what she was up to!

When I was a kid we moved into our new home Christmas eve
at the time i bet it was a pain for my Mom and Dad but it started the tradition of putting up the tree christmas eve that has lasted rightup to this year so that is kinda neat

DH and I met with DD's teacher yesterday (Erica)
we are concerned because the kid ahs way to much homework
she works on it forever everynight

and while she has never been a great student she did so much better last year and this year seems to be slipping backwards

so we are gonna try some new stratgies to help
like modifieying her homework

Because the lines with the problem are in our house they would charge like 95 and hour to fix it since they are technically "our" equipment not theres

so it is just as easy for DH to run new lines

Gotcha. And that is why I pay a little extra for inside wire maintenance. DH would like runing wires. And we would get stuck paying that 95 and hour.

Now the minute I have a problem I call them out. Don't care if they have to come in the house to fix something because I don't have to pay for it.

Well here's the secret-Our phone company said you can add inside wire maintaince anytime and then They'll come out and fix it and then you can cancel it again-no pre-existing problem clause :rotfl:

Mine is something like that also. But trust me it is WELL worth it for me.

DH doesn't seem to have the time for things like that. And than something else ALWAYS happens. Than he is NOT a happy camper. Than I take on all the Stress and I could do without that. So I PAY with money instead of STRESS. :teeth:

I just like leaving Electrical work to the professionals. I really don't want to have any problems. We are going to have our whole house re-wired here soon. We are getting a bigger generator that will plug right into the breaker box and run the whole house. Don't think that is a job for DH. :rolleyes:

My dad and DH have rewired a few houses and always freak people out cause they wire Hot
meaning they don't shut the power off normally
but Dad was taught by a wonderful electrition years ago and he taught DH
so now they do alot of the family electrical stuff

DH also used to drill wells and wire pumps and had some schooling in that

but I don't blame you If my DH wasn't trained in it I would hire someone to

If they are doing a whole house they shut it off for parts but most times they
wire everything Hot or Live
they say it is easier

But you gotta look at who taught them
My great grandfather was the city electcian back when they street lights were turned on with a key
He would go out in a thunderstorm to turn the lights on or off and a few times the lights would get struck by lightning he would get a zap and than move on

He taught Dad who then taught DH (years ago while we were dating)
that if you respect electrcity there is no reason to fear it

the first time Dad and DH worked on something together live DH thought Dad was jsut trying to do away with him :rotfl:
now they work on stuff together all the time
