Kliz or Lyn - How did you store your leftover pancake mix? Or did you just dump it and start fresh when you did the other shirts?

I tried to store it, but it got all yeasty on me.. YUCK!

Hi Everyone!

We're back! Just wanted to say a quick hello! Our trip was wonderful, lots and lots of pixie dust. I'll fill you all in later. We just got home at 2:00 a.m., drove straight through today so I need to get to bed. I'll be on here tomorrow!

I tried Tracy's directions and it keeps cutting the name in half so i know

Yes I figured out the light thingy.

I know I need to up load my pictures. :blush:

And no I have not taken a picture of DD's shirt. Which by the way she did the whole thing herself. She didn't want any help from me.

DD and I go to the store to get the fabric paints and some shirts. We wonder around a bit and DD picks up something she wants to paint. We go to the check out and head for home. DD said "Mommy, Didn't we go to the store to get some shirts?". Yep we sure did and we forgot to get them. :rotfl:

So I used a shirt that she alread had.

Brandon, 6, is having a hard time with trick or treating.. he does want to go b/c he doesn't want to give away our candy! He figures that if no one goes toting, then he gets to keep all the candy!

Last year DD was so upset that nobody would be at our house to give away the candy. She was so upset that DH finally went home so that when the kids came to her house they would get some candy.

I used a spoon and just scraped it off that way.

You're supposed to be able to "peel" it off, but I let mine set out overnight, so I don't know if mine just got extra crispy.

How long did you let your's dry and how did you get your pancake mix off?

I let it dry overnight and I tried to pick it off this morning and it was STUCK on there. I will try the spoon thing tonight. Mine is NOT "peeling" off that is for sure.

I was just going to soak it in water and than pick it off.

Make sure that you have an empty container to put the pancake mix into. It came off in little chunks and it was getting everywhere!

No, really it's just a flour and water mixture.... you mix them together until you get a mustard type texture.

Have a great day at work. Busy evening for me. I have to leave work to pick up DD from school. Drop another little girl off at her house than bring DD back to work.

Leave here early. DD have a halloween thing at Ballet tonight. I was thinking about skipping it. It starts at 5:00 which means I will need to leave work early and get her ready. And I really don't think we will miss much. They are supposed to do their dance routines for the parents.

Than home to trick or treat.

Hey Kelli.. you're an experienced WDW person.. do you know if you can share meals at TS restaurants?? (non-buffet)

I want to share some meals with MIL, but I'm reading now that they say you can't :confused:

I don't think you can. But I would still ask anyways. Maybe they will charge you a small fee.

I also think it depends on what resturant. Some of them are family style.

I can understand about the Family style and Buffets, but I am going to be so annoyed if we can't share at regular restaurants.

When I booked our package, they told me we could. They even suggested it!

If I did it again with paint, I wouldn't have used the pancake mix....The paint formed a crust over the pancake mix and so it took some time to cut the edge of the paint and remove the patter. If I paint again, I think I will just use the card stock paper as a template. The pancake mix came off o.k. with the spray...I didn't let it dry completely and it did peel off...like really gummy glue.

I was thinking of doing more shirts, but then yesterday I had time so I was getting the kids clothes together for our trip (and yes, it is 22 days away but I am super excited)...and I realized that they have so much clothes already from my sisters' children, I should not make more shirts. I think I will wait until it is closer to Christmas and make t-shirts for my nieces and nephews as gifts....

The black paint acted real weird. It only shot out in circles. :confused3 I cleaned it out and everything. Far away it looks pretty good, but real close you can see all these little circles.

I cut out the black parts and then I placed then on the shirts. Then, I did the pancake mix on the "black" opening. The next morning, I took my white paint and went around the pancake mix and then used the silver paint. I think I have a photo of the pancake step...I will look for it.

ok.. you cut the black parts out.. and left only the white parts (did you print it on non white paper?? :rotfl: )

Then you layed the white only portion on the shirts and pancaked where the black used to be...

Wait.. did you just cut the black out of a whole sheet of paper??

yeah, but I'm trying to visualize how she got the white Mickey on the red shirt....

I need to go back and find that post with the picture..

And, what kids of paint did you use again Lyn?? aerosole? in white? I couldn't find more spray paint, so I used the Tulip liquid fabric paint and used a sponge to paint it on. If you are using liquid paint, I would use the pancake mix. If I did this again with liquid paint, I think I would either cut out the black and paint the hole white so the swirl is the only thing...like how the pancake mix looks in the previous post or I would cut out the black really nice and place the black part only on the shirt and stamp/paint around the black...to get a product like my finished shirt.

To confuse you more, since I give very wordy instructions, I used brown paper since that was the only cardstock I had :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your truck....I have bad luck with tires :confused3 I got four flat tires in a matter of less than 12 months....and they weren't worn, they were a popped by stuff I picked up off the road :confused3 It always happens at the worst times too :mad:

DH is trying to blame this one on me to
but there is NO way my driving made antifreeze pour out on the inside of the truck all over the carpet

I think it will need a heater core and maybe a radiator :confused3

DH and I have only bought 2 cars since we've been married.. one in 98, the other in '02. We're still driving them both.
