hate when that happens-usually happens when i'm worried about too many things

I was laying there thinking about all I had to do before vacation! :rotfl:

And I was also thinking, and praying, about DD. She broke up with her boyfriend Saturday night after dating for two years. I just pray she keeps it permanent and also that he doesn't do anything. He's really bad for her so I'm just hoping that she doesn't end up going back with him.

everyone thought i should leave DH when we were teens and dating
everyone said he was bad for me

and MAN he did have issues (didn't see it than but can looking back)

but he grew up and 14 years of marriage later we are very happy still

Well I called to say good-bye to DS-Well his Dad in his ultimate wisdom didn't get home til after 11pm-so I told DS to go back to bed-Ughhhh more homework to make up!!!!!!

Then I call to say good-bye to DD(my DS-my oldest, was suppose to get her up at 7:20 so she could get to school)-well DD doesn't answer phone-odd she always does-Hmmmm call DS cell phone-great he's sleeping-wakes up and goes Uh-oh,I'll get her up now-mind you it's almost 8am and now she'll be late for school-gotta love those teenagers :earboy2:

I'm trying to get my DS to wake up enough so he can go to school-he's trying to finish up some homework that he forgot to do-we'll see if I can get him to school within the hour-I really doubt it though

What time do your kids start school? They better hurry. Too bad about the teenager at work, I pray to never experience that. How is the three year old doing? If you don't mind me asking, what kind of addiction could a 3 year old have, tobacco? I guess I usually picture children with drug addicitions to be babies/newborns. Just wondering. I hope your day gets better and you get to rest.

Sorry I missed this post-Well the 3 yo had heart surgery and almost died a couple of times- I really thought we were going to lose him-but he is recovery just fine now-But while he was recovering-they had to keep him on a breathing machine(vent) and heavily sedated-so he's addicted to big drugs like Morphine/fentanyl-and needs to weened very slowly back to normal-this happens to a lot of sick heart patients-they have to stay quiet so they're hearts can heal-so hope that makes more sense-And I hope your DS feels better soon :wizard:

Except for the death at work-it really wasn't such a bad night-I didn't have to deal with the sad situation and all the family-it all happened in another pod(we have 3 pods to our unit-or areas we work in,the unit is very large) I guess I'm use to all the death and dying-but sometimes it can get a little overwhelming and sad-especially when it's unexpected

That is what my best friend from college said. She was thinking of leaving Denver, but we are so isolated and her family is scattered from the east coast to the midwest, she didn't want to move here. She has since gotten married and settled down.

Yes, most our family lives on Maui, actually in about a two mile radius from our house...we like it. We have some family that lives a little farther away too. My DMIL and DFIL live really close, but we get along and we have mutual respect for each other so it works out. I have some family that lives on other islands, like one of my sisters, but we usually see her and her family a few times each year. We used to go visit her island more often when my grandmother was alive and living with my dad's sister, but she passed away in January....it was her time, so I am happy she is in peace.

The cost to fly inter-island has gone up and lately, unless there is a family function we don't feel it is worth it to travel. A round trip can cost $150 per person or more and to go to California can sometimes be $200-$300, so we rather save up and see Mickey.

He seemed much better this morning. He had just a sort of dry cough. I took him to school. DS and DD missed the second week of school being sick, I think on the first week of preschool everyone shared germs :rotfl: , so since he was feeling better I dropped him off so he wouldn't miss school. They are really nice at the preschool and I told them if he gets worse or starts to wheeze or anything else they could call me and I would pick him up. It was a hectic morning, but now I am at work so I can rest and DIS :rolleyes: .

One year, my sister had a halloween party and DH and I went as Santa and Mrs. Claus. I thought, if I am spending $ on adult costumes, I should buy something that can be used again. We wrapped the glow sticks in Christmas paper for the kids as their treats.

I hate buying costumes for myself. I don't mind buying them for my sis b/c I always give them to my SIL after halloween to give to her cousin who has a ton of kids and never has the $$ to buy them all costumes. They usually wear them the next year

OMG! I could never imagine it being that cold here! One year it was really cold, it was the coldest it has ever been here in Houston, everything was frozen, ice hanging off the power lines and on the road& what happened that night? Andie was born :rotfl: They had to drive my mom to the hospital going like 25 mph
