Woohoo!!!!! We get an extra night! Staying Saturday, 10/22, at the Contemporary Tower! Couldn't get anything at the POLY where the rest of our stay will be but that's just as well because I'd like the boys to see what the Contemporary is like. DH, DD and I stayed there many years ago, before the boys came along! ;)

DH works off-duty security work and has been "hiding" his money so this extra night is going to be paid for with that money and I don't have to feel guilty! Tomorrow's my birthday. DH says it's my birthday present! :love:

I'm so excited!!!!! And we're going to keep this extra night a secret from the boys. We were planning to stay somewhere off-site that night so I doubt they'll suspect anything. We'll just tell them that we want to look around at the Contemporary before we check in to the "off-site" hotel!

It was very good. DD has Straight A's. She is doing very well in Class and very nice, friendly and always willing to help others.

I agree that they can be whatever they want. That's what we've always told all our kids. As long as they want to be something. I don't want them just wandering through life. I don't care if they go to college as long as they have a career in mind. Only thing I do hope is that they don't follow in DH's footsteps. He's in law enforcement. Too dangerous. I don't want to watch my kids do that too. DD actually did consider it.

As far as DS wanting to be a firefighter, with DH and I both on the department we will probably be able to get him on as a junior firefighter in a year or two, even with his Down Syndrome. There's lots he can do without having to go into the buildings!

They just don't understand that life and learning don't end just 'cause we're out of high school or college! My DD couldn't believe that I went back to college when she was a junior in HS. My DD didn't decide what she wanted to do until her second year of college other than knowing she wanted to do "something" or be something 'cause she knew she wanted to make a lot of money! That's very important to her.

DS 13 has no idea what he wants to do but says that he does want to go to college and wants a four-year degree. He's got a two-year scholarship already to the local community college so he is already saying that he wants to go there for 2 years and then transfer to Appalachian State, close to home so he can still live at home.

No! They're all a bunch of stick-in-the-muds! Oh well, less work for me! I even tried to convince them that we should at least wear some matching t-shirts but - again - no! We didn't wear costumes last year and still had fun and the rides were easier not having to mess with costumes.

DD is going to be a Witch. :confused3 Not sure why with the ton of Princess Costumes she has in her closet.

And DH and I are still trying to figure out what we are going to do.

He is going to come with us and than leave first thing Sat morning to head home and than leave for Miami with the group of guys that are going. DD and I will stay and spent two wonderful days at WDW.

And that works out pretty good since we will need two cars. I will leave after school on Friday and he will come directly from work on Friday.

Nope, not tonight! DH has to work at 7:00 p.m. But that's okay. I stopped at the grocery store and got some frozen coconut shrimp (like they have at Outback)!! Two of the boys will have hot pockets 'cause they're allergic to shrimp! :rotfl: One DS and I will have the shrimp and some lobster bisque!
Mmmmmm. Now I'm hungry again already! :rotfl:

Nope. I feel so disorganized and up tight. I am so far behind on some paperwork I was supposed to be doing everyday for a Research Study I am doing and I just suck because I didn't do it. And now I have an appointment tomorrow and I am trying to backtrack the last month. Not sure what I was thinking. I am normally not like this.
And I really think I am going to get my hair cut tonight. Right now just cut the length off and than maybe a little bit later try to find a style.

I have to go now-DS just brought home a letter from school-not good news-still slacking off with late assignments!!!!! :guilty: I just don't know what to do anymore with him-I check his assignment book,we ask him everynight,make him sit and do what he says he has to do and still!!!! the late assignments keep rolling in!!!I feel really bad now too!!-maybe it's contagious ;)

Anyone want some cake? DS13 asked me to buy a lemon cake mix and frosting. I thought the boys wanted to make a bd cake. NO! Not this time. He wanted to make it all by himself. So DS11 got upset and wanted to make his own. So he's making a spice cake with cream cheese frosting. But DS16 wanted to help and neither of them wanted help so when DS11 is done with the oven DS16 is going to make chocolate chip cookies. (Luckily I had the break-apart dough in the fridge!) So, we're going to have plenty of dessert to share!

Oh-oh! What grade is DS in? We went through that with one DS when he was in 5th. He would do his work, he would take it to school on time but would forget to turn it in!

Well, let's see....

DH took A.J. to school this morning. That was a treat for me as I drive him every day (30 miles round trip).

DH took me out to lunch.

All three of the boys fixed dessert. Andrew made a lemon cake with lemon icing. Matthew made a spice cake with creme cheese icing and A.J. made chocolate chip cookies.

We had cake before dinner because DH had to be at work at 7:00 and no one was hungry for dinner! :rotfl:

Boys had hot pockets for dinner, no cooking for me!

And now I'm having some soup.

And all my friends on the dis really made me feel special! One of the best birthdays I can remember in a long time!

it's kind of a long story.....My SIL's brother came home yesterday from Iraq, I've known him for year, since middle school, but never really gave him a 2nd thought. I think we went out once but nothing happened or came of it. Well he came to see my SIL at work today and stopped by to say hi, and my jaw almost hit the floor!!! HE LOOKED AWSOME!!! It didn't help that he was in fatigues (sp?) I'm a sucker for a uniform!!! But I was just like WOW!! :earseek:
