I feel soooo bad for them, the lady who was running the hotel we stayed at was in tears the whole time we were there. ( We spent a lot of time with her b/c we didn't have a tv in the room, so we watched in the lobby) b./c her sis was in LA. She was soooo worried.

It was pretty good. 15 miles in 5 hours. could have done it a little faster but the ladies that I walk with like to stop and stretch ALLOT.

Well the rain from Hurricane Rita finally hit Wisconsin and Guess What????





We lost our power when a lightnening strike hit the power pole in the backyard-boy was that loud :earseek:


I'm really tired of losing our power!!!!! Thank-fully it was only 2hrs this time!!!
And DH did get to watch the game-kept the generator from my parents and we got to use it again!!!!(Although DH wishes he didn't get to watch the game :guilty: )

I finally got some sleep around 11:30pm yesterday til about 7:30-8, then I cleaned the house til 11:00am and right as I finished the power zapped off!!!
So I had to wait to take a shower!!!!

We got the rain all day yesterday-plus lots of lightening it was very intense bands of rain and lightening-still packing a powerful punch this far north!!!

no fever only a cough
and she already missed last thurs and Frid cause of a stomach bug

the cough is NASTY but i gave her cough meds and tylenol and sent her

i know if it gets worse they will send her home

I told her if she had a fever i would have kept her her but a cough could last 2weeks and she can't stay home that long

I have to be at opening ceramony between 6-6:30 on Friday morning.
Closing Ceramony is at 5:00 on Sunday.

I just figured we all walk how hard can it be.

You just put one foot in front of the other and go.

Now putting one foot in front of the other for 8 hours straight is a different story.

Getting blisters that hurt so bad you are not sure you can make another step, but you know you have to make it back to your car. You find a happy place. And just keep on going.

I doubt you guys have anything to worry about from me. Honestly I have so much stuff that I need to get done around my house DH will probably have me very busy for awhile. All of these things I have been putting off until after the walk.

DD wants her room painted.
I want to paint my room.
Some landscaping needs to be done.
We are going to put a new fence around the backyard.
Reorganize my office at home.
Put the garage back in order.

No worries about me catching you guys.....

I figure that blister pain is allot better than Chemo and Radiation. And if any women can stand that than I can damn well put up with some blisters.

I have so much work lately and DH and i want to get the trees cut down and shed built here before it gets to cold and i have to put socks on my Truck and
I want to redo our bedroom so I will be busy this fall too

although i do have the early morning hours that i can Post alot

If I could get up early I could join you all in the morning. But I am so busy running around to be to work by 7:30. Than by the time I get here the rest have left for work.
