Well, I won't be on here much tonight! We're going out!!!! You gotta understand...we never go anywhere! We're goin' boot-scootin' tonight. The whole family plus another family and two couples! You also have to realize we live out in the sticks so there's not a whole lot to choose from when it comes to going out! :rotfl: DS16 is sitting here with his cowboy hat on...he's all ready to go!

It didn't use to be our thing either! But DH knows the guys in the band really well and they put on more of a show than just music and it's a lot of fun. DS16 will dance with anyone that asks him and we know the parents of one of the cloggers. She always asks him to dance a few times. She's about 23 and very pretty and A.J. just melts. He dances and grins from ear to ear!

DH and I will probably only dance one or two slow dances. The real fun is actually going out with others! Like I said, we never do that!

We had a great time. A.J. danced and danced. He even convinced me to try square dancing with him. I couldn't resist when he said, "Aw, Mom, come on, please!!!!" Neither of us had a clue as to what we were doing but they were teaching as we went along. And the band played a song for A.J. ("Long Black Train," one of his favorites) and acknowledged him in the audience. And they acknowledged my DH, saying there was a special guest in the audience who was usually out protecting the city and introduced him as a deputy. One of the nice things about living in a rather small community!

DH and I danced a couple of slow dances. The whole evening was really nice!

Well, actually it's my second time getting up today. I got up at 4:30 a.m. and did some housework and then went back to bed at 6:30 a.m. Then got up at 10:00 to stay up!

DH just took all 3 boys fishing so I actually have the entire house to myself. That almost never happens!

Very cool except for the fact that I have problems with my feet and I really should have known better than to try square dancing in the shoes that I had on. And I tried dancing with my shoes off which was even worse!

We will follow a path they have mapped out for us. We are leaving from a park and they will have it marked which way they want us to go. It is a very organzied walk. Than we will stop where they have prepared a place for a to camp. We never cross the same path.

Not good-She just signed out of work and was about to leave the building and.........Tripped on the rug in front of the door and slammed head first into the glass door :earseek:

Knocked herself out and has one heck of a concussion and bruises everywhere-she's lucky though-she could of broke her neck!!!

No I don't mind. It is something that has always been near and dear to me. So far (knocking on wood) I have not had to deal with BC in my family. I am walking to raise money and awareness to find a curse and fight BC. I do not want my DD it even have to know what it is. Or ever be affected by it.

During the months that I have been training I have met some amazing women who are not even 40 year old yet who are fighting this disease.

My friend in Fort Worth-TX did this last year(her sister died of BC only 37) and she had a great time-she's always doing something -smaller walks now

Kathy - It is amazing stories like your friend being a survivor that keeps me going. I can walk with blisters if they can handle Radiation and Chemo. A blister is nothing compared to what they have to deal with.

Thanks for your concern-she is really lucky-if she would of hit the other side of her head she would of been in serious trouble-She had a brain tumor removed there about 12yrs ago-so that side is fragile-but she's just really sore right now-her back and neck hurt a lot -a little whiplash I think

Crazy busy but GOOD

Jessica's Play was AWESOME we have a really talented bunch of kids at church

and than we met up with DH at BIL's for my nephews Baptism party and

I was so happy cause i got to cuddle the little guy till he fell asleep

and the best part

MIL and SIL and other BIL only went to the church they didn't come to the party

I mean i know BIL was kinda ticked they didn't but the sooner he realizes they are poison the better for his family

We had the Race for a Cure 5K race yesterday. I didn't go to it so I could do a 10 mile training walk. I was planning on going but I needed to be training walk leader for a group of ladies.

It's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. Trust me I never thought I would put over 400 miles in training to walk 60 miles.

The gear can only weigh 35 lbs. :earseek:
And I will have to carry that damn bag from the gear truck to my tent. Did I mention I am in D84. :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :faint: :scared:

I am hoping that when I slow down the walking that I will notice a difference because I won't be eating the carbs that I am right now.
