We went last Oct and i wish we had gotten it when the kids were younger

It was OK but at 11 and 9 they just weren't "into' the princess as much

but the eating in the castle was kinda cool

I don't know about before 9 but i would head over as soon as it opens up
because say they have 15 reservations for 9:45
they are going to seat themin the order they arrive and you have to wait for the people with earlier reservations to finish eating before they send you up the stairs

I would want to be there by 9:15 at the latest
that way your DD will have time to visit with the Fairy godmother too

Just my advice someone else my have a different opinion

Well, some of the CMs are polite, friendly, and either clueless, or not going to take the time to explain a system that's pretty complicated, and would upset people who made their reservation yesterday, and have been waiting an hour.

I have no problem to giving preferential treatment to the person who makes their 9:45 PS 90 days out over one that makes theirs 1 day out. Then don't seat any 10:00 until all the 9:45's that are present are seated.

I have noticed them sliding cards into the middle of other cards all the time at the restaurants before out of boredom while I was waiting.

I'm going to pay more attention on this trip.

This may have been explained by people on the DVC board who book their rooms at the 11 month window and still don't get any advantage with room requests over someone who booked the day before. I think they said how it was unlike the Disney Dinning.
