I am trying to get DD into Brownies. But the troop leader is a not so good one. And I have called the Local Chapter to get a list of the other ones in my area and I still have not heard back from them. I guess I better make a note to call them again.

The troop leader I was talking about called me and was telling me all about things. Than she said "if your interested you need to come to my house I will give you a form that you can go and fill out in your car than walk it back up to me or take it home and return it". :earseek: I guess she didn't want me to come into her house. :confused3 Needless to say she turned me off before I even met her. I know that is wrong but she just struck a cord with me.

Nope sorry a friend of mine told me that she is not. That is why those of my friends moved their DD's to a different troop. I am on the waiting list with that troop if a spot becomes available. But right now they are full. I just didn't make up my mind in time to get in with them.

Yeah I think so. But you can get a 10 gal starter kit for around $25.00 or so. I think Wal-mart has them and they have pretty much everything you need to get started. Except like maybe the gravel that goes on the bottom.

Not expensive at all.
And very easy to take care of.

Not with a filter. It shouldn't happen. And if it does you get one of those sucker fish that clean the tank for you. Or even a snail. We had a snail and we named it Gary.

Well-not always-at my one job I deal with tiny newborns(NICU) and they usually just need to feed and grow-occasionally we get IV pokes to do but not always. But my other job (PICU-pediatric ICU) I see it all,usually very sad stuff!!!! But that too gets balanced out with the cute kidos :flower:

I don't even get away when in the bathroom. I am in the shower the other night and she is yelling "Mommy" I was like "What" So she says "Can you come here a minute" Nope sorry a little busy at the moment. And she doesn't even walk to the bathroom. She is yelling from her room which makes me yell back to her.

We went last year but didn't take advantage of the trick-or-treating much. My ds's were more interested in riding the rides since it wasn't as crowded as during the day. They didn't want to dress up either and I was afraid we'd be out of place but we weren't!

This would freak my DD out!!!!-we took her to a haunted hay ride in NC about 2 yrs ago and this guy chased her all the way back to our van-he wanted her head!!!!

We went on a Thursday last year (I think it was 10/21) and we didn't even purchase our tickets until around 10:00 a.m. on that day. And we were told that there were still plenty available!
