They start the 6th right after labor day
and while they miss there friends that is about the only reason
they want to go back
they are really enjoying their summer spending alot of it with my parents and there cousins

We just found out that my DD school honored our request that she not get the same teacher DS had for 5th grade(Thank goodness) she's not very nice-needed to retire years ago!!!!
And we have to get 18yr old registered next week-along with 6th grader-we are having hinm repeat since he had such a hard time-but we are moving him into another school-
but next week my kids have camp and are looking forward to that more than school :flower:

we had that issue too when Erica was going into 2nd i didn't want her having the same teacher Jess had had since she was horrible

It's really too bad that some teachers can be so bad-I guess they are close to retirement or feel that can't find another job(who can beat those benefits+3month vacation) that they are stuck-and then the kids suffer the effects of their unhappiness :guilty:

our school system has alot of the older teachers who dislike the new rule dicipline codes and had a hard time adjusting

hopefully some new teacher will be joining the staff soon

No big plans-Our neighbor is a mechanic and he offered to replace my rotors on my car-it's usually an easy job takes about 15 minutes-well the rotors were bad-so he went back and got new ones-they were bad too-so back to the store-still bad-back to the store-then they gave him GM brand rotors for cost since he ran back and forth so much and they finally worked -During all the test drives he went through a half tank of gas :earseek: Ouch!!!! but now they work fine-it only took 3+ hrs-not the 15min he had planned-I felt bad for him

No-night hasn't got busy-just 4am labs to draw and send to lab-then x-ray comes around and wakes all the kids up for am chest x-rays-and then all the MD's start poking at the kids and wake them up again-just as you got them back to sleep-a little frustrating but managable :)

That's what we think but they need all the data and xrays for when they do their rounds at 6-7am and we have to give replacements for labs results that may be all messed up(ie-potassium replacements etc...)Not much fun for the kids though-I get really protective of my patients and make the dr's come back later to examine pt if they can(which they can) and draw the labs really quietly so they usually keep on sleeping through it :)
