When we first appeared in court, they were pretty aggressive with the judge that they had to close those gates when they wanted to. He was running out of patience with them so he asked us if we would agree to allowing them to close the gates during certain times of the week until we get a hearing date and we agreed. Well, this stuff has been ongoing and no hearing date in sight! http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/forums/images/smilies/wall.gif

We have had 4H people come up here for meetings, construction people working on our house, and the UPS man coming and going and they have all gotten so tired of this gate thing that some of them are not closing them. So, the neighbors now watch everyone that goes thru to make sure they close them. If they don't, they run out to the driveway and close it behind them to make them get out and open them when they have to leave. That is ALOT of stopping and idling on that driveway....and gas being between $2.30 and $2.50 per gallon. I am waiting for a confrontation between someone and one of those neighbors!

Well, they put them up claiming they wanted to slow us down on the driveway. They found out that was illegal so they started turning animals loose on the driveway and claimed they needed the gates to keep their animals in but there is no gate at the entrance to the driveway and the animals can wander down to the public road. So, to get rid of the gates, DH asked them if they would remove them if he put in a cattle guard and they said yes. So, he bought 2 cattle guards, hired a back hoe and driver to dig holes and help him put them in, and they refused to take the gates down. So, now they are back to saying they are closing the gates to slow us down. We go between 15 and 20 mph on the driveway but they want us to go between 5 and 10 mph so they can walk out in front of a vehicle to stop it if they have a complaint about a driver! :crazy: Nut jobs!!
