View Full Version : Got my Sims CD

OK, well i got my sims game, The Sims. When i put it into my CD drive nothing happens. nothing pops up, or anything. I looked in my comuter etc. I also searched through files or folders. All it gave me were three notepad documents that had random numbers in them from the game. Im sure my CD drive is hooked up correctly.

Anybody have any ideas?

That always happens, but it usually is in My Computer.... if it doesn't work I get my Mom ;)

lucky you, my parents think that when my monitor is off, the computers off, even though my computers SUPER loud because of the fan hahaha. Ok, thanks! i think im gonna check my drive again

did it come with two disks? You might want to check to make sure you put in the right disk first.

yay i think i got it! I found another ribbon type green cable that should have been hooked up with the drive. i guess i just didnt see it before. Rose, i knew you were bound to post here!

I will keep you guys updated. brb, trying the disc.

Ok it went all smoothly till the last part. it said installing ERG failed. :eek: :headache: :confused: Why cant that happen at the beginning so it doesnt bring peoples hopes up? Now what?

well I had trouble installing mine because I have Vista :headache:
and I also have to play it as an administrator when I want to play because of Vista.

:( i dont have vista lol. and it seems like the old sims made in 1999-2000 0_o

Im guessing that is the first version then... I have sims 2 college life and sims 2. So I cant help you.

A problem similar to that did happen with my Cabela's African Safari game. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and restarted the computer.
